Need more glue guys who dont need the ball and will make those savvy veteran plays to complement this group.
Tuesday at 01:59 AM3 days Pacers like how McConnell is a dark horse MVP candidate every year, so they are signing the next great scrappy 76ers PG that nobody wants to give a chance to. McClung. Bet hes gonna average 30 for them.
Tuesday at 02:13 AM3 days I find Adem Bona to be a really, really interesting player. The 3 best young players on the team are all back court ball dominant shooters.A front court player who is a highly athletic rim protecting defender, rebounder…and is a rudimentary non-ball-dominant offensive player who can at least explosively drive to the basket and get above the rim.The weird part is that he’s a bit undersized for a 5, which is how he’s primarily utilized so far…and Embiid isn’t gone yet. It seems like he’d be a great fit as the 4 with Embiid on the court and their 3 guard look, considering not everyone can handle and shoot the ball.

I am disappointed in Bona's rebounding. Need more. We arent asking him to do a whole lot. I hated Bball Paul, but if we were going to ask this little of a front court player, he would have been fine here. Preferable to bona IMO. Bona is my least favorite player on this roster so far.

Tuesday at 01:08 PM3 days There were at least 3 times last night where a big block turned quickly into a transition bucket. This team is young and full of energy. Everyone going all out on every play last night. When the Flow Disrupter comes back tonight, they won’t be able to play like that. Hopefully he is restricted to 20 minutes and all in the first half.
Tuesday at 01:51 PM3 days When Maxey is driving, he takes the shot almost every time. Having an athletic big like Bona or anyone young who can jump, gives him the option for an easy alley oop. Saw a few of those last night. Those are easy points. This team is built to score more "easily" when someone isn't pounding the air of the ball and everyone stands still and watches for 75% of the shot clock. Quick ball movement and having a lot of really good dribblers/shooters makes proper spacing for them to operate. It's also nice that we have more than enough scoring that we don't need Joel. With him, its feast or famine. It's also easy to game plan for 1-2 guys and if they have a bad night, its a loss. Now they have to pick their poison since we have a ton of guys who score in a multitude of ways. There are ways to integrate Joel to keep this team rolling but he won't like it. I have a feeling at some point, Mr. Accolades will have an issue not being the spotlight guy. Maybe not, maybe he has finally grown up and realizes at this stage, he is just a role player. He can be a super efficient one though.
Tuesday at 07:05 PM3 days I would go with Maxey, VJ, Oubre, Joel, Bona as starters and first subs should be Grimes and Watford.
Tuesday at 07:16 PM3 days It'll be interesting to see the end of the year average stat line for Maxey, VJ, McCain, and Grimes. They can all shoot, dribble, rebound, assist, and play defense well. VJ will have a bunch of blocks too since he can fly.
