I would consider attaching Melton to the Harden trade. We might be able to get a couple players of use, two first round picks and a swap.

Yeah he's an expiring that I don't think we re-sign as we look to hook bigger fish.

Frees up some minutes for Springer off the bench too.

I see 2 opposing narratives here.

1. Those refs did a poor job calling something like 12 more fouls on us than the Bucks. And down the stretch there were too many consecutive penalties going their way.

2. On this play in particular, its a foul. But I cant help but think about how differently Shaq would react in that situation. Embiid is soft and lets Giannis right up in his grill, has one hand on the ball... and then gets shoved down as Giannis gets the steal. If that was Shaq, Giannis would probably have an elbow in his mouth. 2 hands on the ball. Strong. Protect it. You can say thats BS by Giannis, but thats BS soft play by Embiid which is more upsetting to me.

1. He elbows him and it's a flagrant, instead Embiid played for the call which didn't come

2. He went at him physically the very next play and the refs called a BS offensive foul on Embiid in the post

Yeah. Embiid plays for the call too much. Be physical. Accept the fouls that come with it. Doesnt literally have to elbow the face. Just saying... Elbows are a better deterrent to defenders.

On your second point, thats unfortunate. Refs screwed us last night. NBA probably didnt want to spoil Lillard's debut so they can hype that team up.

How did we not get Dame for Harden + whatever is needed to make it happen trade?

If Embiid wants to go to Miami, Bam is a great player. Offensive game gets better every year and always on the all defensive team.

Bam is no Embiid, but Bam may be perfect for Nurse's system. With ball movement the focus, Bam is a heck of a passer from the center position.

No one is Embiid but him and Maxey would play better together and up the pace of play

Barf. God no

Maxey’s gonna get 35 and 8 assists at this rate.

Barnes is such a whiner.

Maxey with 24 points, 7 assists with a whole quarter+ left to play. The assist numbers these first two games are what are super encouraging.

Only basketball casuals would say that.

Can stop him once he gets downhill

God, I forgot how much I hated our announcers

Maxey splitting that double and getting to the basket was nasty.

Maxey is just ridiculous.

He is going hard to his left now too. He is gonna be fun to watch.

Kind of liking Maxey and Oubre on the court together.

Not going to be easy with all the guard talent but I think this could be the year he breaks through and makes his first all-star game.

WTF was that from Embiid? No look, off balance three with 5 seconds still on the shot clock. Brutal.

Phew I had a parley Sixers - 4 and almost blew that for me

If they can get Harden out of here and receive at least a couple decent role players they have a shot. With Maxey's growth, the addition of Oubre off the bench, and the lightyears better coaching, they have a shot. Just cut out the cancer.
