The cost of draft capital plus his contract will not equal his output. If he is a final piece you have to overpay to make the roster championship caliber, I wouldn't mind then. But he should not be the main target.

He was 3 and D who was developing some shot creation ability. Seemed to be breaking out like Bridges did but doesn't seem as consistent at Bridges.

OG shot 45% on corner 3s last year and is probably the best wing defender in the league right now. He shut down ANT on the first game of the season. He could be the 3rd best guy on a championship team like Wiggins was for the Warriors 2 years ago. Jaden Mcdaniels got 5/136 and OG will get something similar. Good wings are in high demand and teams have to pay a premium for them

He should check on the heat. What a popular move it would be to bring back Jimmy. Fans would love it. Embiid would love it...

The sixers can just say whatever and let it slide but they could say if this was known he was going to retire if dealt and the clippers knew then it becomes a huge problem. Never seen a player retire right after being traded but im guessing it’s not good for the league.

And now the 6ers are off the hook from the PP violation.

The trade money wise doesn’t work without batum. If he up and retires sixers could file a grievance and accuse the clippers of knowing batum’s intentions and not finding another way to make it work. Just to be honest, I think the most realistic player the Sixers are going to get is OG Anunoby because of his connection to nurse and it is a position that’s coveted in the NBA. Plus he’s a pretty good fit between maxey and Embiid. Granted, I think the only thing that could go against them in this is if he gets traded somewhere else and then just wants to stay there. Or he doesn’t want to be the third wheel between maxey and Embiid. FRankly i think that’s where he’s slotted best.
