Maybe some of the answers are under our nose. Tobi (assuming he is pretty reasonable with his next contract) and Oubre could be a good fits long term. Obviously need another top player or combo or role players to add to them.

Oubre is a career 33% from 3 so would need a lot more time to see fi this is anything more than a hot streak. Tobias I would give him the mid lvl but over 3 years so 3/50, nothing more though

Lets see what happens when they play the Celtics this week and they we will know what kind of team the Sixers truly have.

It's not just about the 3 point shot with Oubre though. He's been good cutting to the rim and finishing too. Only made 3 triples today, but still ended up with 25 points. Against Toronto he was 0-6 from 3, but still put up 18. That's exactly what the Sixers need, another guard that is just a flat-out scorer.

And maybe he has matured to take better shots and be smarter ever since he didn't get a deal this summer but he has always be a streaky shooter.

I can't disregard the last 7 years of his career for 5 games, just not yet. I believe he was the most inefficient shooter with the Warriors a few years ago in the league.

Nurse's common sense approach to getting guys the ball where they are most comfortable with it is going to maximize every talent on this team.

Dammit. This team is making me believe again.

What has impressed me the most with Maxey is his progression as a playmaker. He had some excellent passes today to get teammates open looks. He just keeps getting better.

Then there's Oubre, who is looking like a huge addition, and is the type of player they've been really missing.

Coaching-wise, it's night and day. Nurse is in a completely different coaching tier compared to Doc.

You mean you don't like/miss Harden taking 10 seconds to dribble up the court, and either dribble in place for another 10 seconds or pass to Embid, who then holds it for 10 seconds?  I honestly believe if Nurse was the Head Coach here, instead of Doc and Brown, the Sixers might have actually won a championship.

I get the sense that Oubre is pretty happy here. He praises Nurse, and the supporting cast over and over again. Loves playing with someone as dominant as Embiid and how it opens things up for him.

But you also still get the sense that he wants to be a dominant on ball player, and so I wonder if this is just a stepping stone for him. Seems like he will be on good behavior because he knows he is in a good spot to stand out. But Im not sure he feels fulfilled in this role.  Im not sure, even if he got a Mikal Bridges 4/90 contract, if he would even accept this role. Maybe the money would talk for him. Of course, we need a lot more games to figure out if he would be worth that anyway.

May be an image of 1 person, playing basketball and text that says 'T A 76cr ers Josh Schrager Schrager @Schragz The 76ers are the first team in NBA history to have 4 players average 20+ PPG over a team's first 5 games of the season Joel Embiid: 29.4 Tyrese Maxey: 26.2 Kelly Oubre Jr: 21.0 Tobias Harris: 20.0 Per Sportradar'

I guess Batum is joining the team and will be available for tomorrow's game.

Pretty impressive to install a board crashing system and yet become 2nd in the league in fast break points.

wife must have figured out $11 million is a lot of money to lose cause she doesn’t want him in Philly for like 7 months

We got some personalities on this team this year, and Im enjoying them so far. I hope it stays this smooth.

Oubre is enjoying himself in Philly, and great success this season.

The Pat Bev podcast already existed but now hes ours. So this show becomes much more interesting.

Paul Reed just started his podcast (which needs a lot of improvement) but.... Suddenly with this fun team on the court, we seem to have a bunch of extra 6ers content as well.

This is what I said the other day. OG and LaVine are not quite big enough fish for Daryl to get excited about. Hes definitely going to try to go bigger.

Who?

Sixers should not want Mitchell. I do not think he is a winner

Ingram would be nice but he is always injured.

OG 7/13 from 3 today

It has to be an organization thing, not a city thing, because the Eagles and the Phillies are both teams that players WANT to play for.

Basketball is a different animal. They all seem more DIVAish and more like wanna be rock stars who just want to play in Cali, NY, and Miami.

Very true - they want to go where the lights are the brightest and the strip clubs are the biggest and best.

Absolutely. Yes to the first one. No to the second one that does not contain Chet. I said a few times over the summer that if Joel wants to go, Chet is my ideal get.

You arent going to get any of the players on the very elite level Joel is on. So the only way to HOPE to get equal value is to find a young player who seems fairly likely to be one of the guys who will ascent to that top tier.

I assumed Embiid gives that young team full of perimeter talent a veteran presence, while they could be willing to take a known commodity for Chet who is still unknown coming off his rookie injury.

Giddey and Chet plus all those 1st round picks is a home run.

Now, at this point in the season our team is looking great. Im not sure I want to do it right now. But as excited as I am, you know we eventually will get that annual Embiid playoff injury. So, yeah... if he wants out or if OKC for some reason offered it, probably have to do it.

Chet won't happen anymore. Giddey, Dort, Dieng and all their picks is probably the best they would offer at this point

You would want Carson Wallace at this point as well. Love his energy especially on defense

I love Giddey but dont think he has quite the star potential that Chet has. Thats a good OKC team so a lot of those picks arent really attractive. Have to have Chet or it would be a non-starter. (assuming they wont offer Shai)
