November 6, 20232 yr JJ cautioning on the fit, and timeline of bringing a star at the deadline. Pretty much what we have discussed.

November 7, 20232 yr Hopefully Maxey and Embiid get extended rest in the second half and can save their legs for Boston.
November 7, 20232 yr I only got to turn this on in the 3rd quarter. It was a really fun 2nd half till the Springer/Bamba lineup came on. This team is awesome. Cant wait to see how they stack up against Boston.
November 7, 20232 yr wonder if true. eagles always do right by players in financial situations like this. Bad look for 6ers if true

November 7, 20232 yr Starters for now: Maxey Melton Batum Harris Embiid Bench: 6th man - Oubre 7th man - Beverly Covington for defense Morris for offense Reed Springer

But this is really good. They all looked like they still had something to offer last night. If thats going to be the case, this team is way too damn good.
November 7, 20232 yr Back to back double-doubles for Maxey. It’s early, but right now he’s 11th in assists per game. We knew he could score, but his playmaking is getting better and better. He just may mold himself into an elite PG after all. 11th in assists, 14th in points. Not bad.
November 8, 20232 yr I haven't had a chance to watch the last couple games (League Pass issues), looking forward to the Celtics game

I said a few times over the summer that if Joel wants to go, Chet is my ideal get. You arent going to get any of the players on the very elite level Joel is on. So the only way to HOPE to get equal value is to find a young player who seems fairly likely to be one of the guys who will ascent to that top tier. I assumed Embiid gives that young team full of perimeter talent a veteran presence, while they could be willing to take a known commodity for Chet who is still unknown coming off his rookie injury. Giddey and Chet plus all those 1st round picks is a home run. Now, at this point in the season our team is looking great. Im not sure I want to do it right now. But as excited as I am, you know we eventually will get that annual Embiid playoff injury. So, yeah... if he wants out or if OKC for some reason offered it, probably have to do it. The team is 5-1, he just had 29 points in a quarter shooting 10-10 and you're talking trade scenarios.

I'm kinda wanting to see this team for a while and see just how good they are. And I'm with Reddick- they should be very careful about need and fit if they trade. LaVine doesn't make any sense at this point. I'm not sure they need to make any trades at all despite now having assets. But I'm fully prepared for the annual embiid letdown. If okc offered (they won't) you'd have to consider it.
November 8, 20232 yr The main asset is going to be the expiring cap space and how they use it in the off-season. Unless something really pops at this point I think they just go with it, maybe try and add some bench pieces for more versatility in the playoffs and see what they can do with the space in the off-season.
November 8, 20232 yr Dejounte Murray being thrown around as a trade candidate. Not sure how I feel about that. He has the length and can distribute but he seems really inefficient on the scoring end.

If they want to defend him with Jrue get him the ball right under the basket so he can just rise up and dunk on him. How can they not think of this?
