November 9, 20232 yr theres time, but it feels like this one is over. I think I trust this years team with this lead.
November 9, 20232 yr welp... if we are gonna throw the ball away like that maybe this can still get interesting.
November 9, 20232 yr Melton needs to be on the bench down the stretch until he proves he can hit a shot That was a huge shot from Embiid
November 9, 20232 yr That was a YUGE make by Embiid. Regardless of what happens here Im gonna say 6ers are the better team right now.
November 9, 20232 yr bad awareness by harris there. At least Boston cant win on their last possession as long as we dont foul a 3 point shooter.
November 9, 20232 yr They would have lost this game last year. Nurse saw enough with Melton and pulled him for Beverley late

November 9, 20232 yr Terance 'Untouchable' Mann has 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 foul and is 0-2 (both from 3) in 19 minutes
November 9, 20232 yr At this point I don't care how it happened, I'll take any win they can get against Boston. And to beat the Celtics in the same week the Eagles beat the Cowboys? All smiles.

And to beat the Celtics in the same week the Eagles beat the Cowboys? All smiles. I dont even have a problem with how it happened. 98% of the game the 6ers outplayed them to a double digit lead, and were likely holding them to under 100 points. Thats the best or 2nd best offense in the league that should have had under 100 points. If not for that little spurt of carelessness, nervous tightness, whatever it was... And yeah.. I hate to see the choking away of leads late rear its ugly head again. But... I dont even feel mad about it tonight. I think we have a pretty clear indication that this team can outplay Boston this year, on a regular night. Not some random lucky night where we can shoot 48% from 3. Just roll in as your normal selves and beat Boston. Whens the last time we got to feel like that? Im so happy with this game tonight.

I really thought he was. And Batum, with his length is still a very impactful defender. Nurse was just commenting on playing him over Oubre down the stretch because of the switches he was making, communication, etc. Hes a late game defensive closer.
November 9, 20232 yr Melton is too inconsistent to be a starter. Wonder if he can be a trade chip. Otherwise, maybe a trade happens that replaces him as a starter and has him come off the bench. Maxey’s two blocks today were nice. He is now adding defense to his game too. Look out.
November 9, 20232 yr I normally don't watch press conference but they showed Nurse in the post game and it was interesting. He said they're running about 40% of their defensive schemes and the one they deployed tonight they hadn't worked on much and it failed a number of times. He said Batum played ahead of Oubre late for his defensive communication. Someone asked a question trying to get him to pump up Harris and his response was 'he should be doing this, he is a good player'. I like that he is setting this as the expectation for him when he is clearly capable
