When you get such smothering defense from the bench guys, its hard to want to give their minutes up for a shooter. We already have a top 5 offense in the league. I dont know.... I think after seeing Covington and Batum for a few games, it may be safe to move one of them in to Oubre's spot in the starting lineup, and get his scoring back on the bench unit. That will balance things out even better.

November 9, 20232 yr If we had to make a move right now, I think after moving Oubre's scoring back to the bench, and isnerting Covington in to the starting lineup, the 1 glaring weakness in the lineup has been Melton. Upgrading him could be the 1 move to be made this year. That could be a high priced move like OG Anunoby. Or maybe a mid tier like Huerter who could drastically improve the shooting from that spot. Im not sure how his NBA defense is though I know he was an excellent defender in college.

If they want to do this and clean up the presentation of the draft they should allow teams to trade picks on draft night so we don’t have all the moments like Mikal Bridges getting announced as a pick for and wearing the hat of a team they’ll never play for.

He is a good bench player but shouldn’t start for us.

November 9, 20232 yr Maxey’s defense was great last night. One time he exploded and caught Jrue from behind and the other was textbook defense where he went straight up with both hands and had so much lift he blocked it with both hands. He also had 9 rebounds. He is all over the place.
