I was concerned for severe fractures that would require surgery like a femur or something. Or internal injures, or head and neck injuries. Only way ribs would keep him in the hospital would be if a rib pierced an organ or if he had so many ribs broken that he had a flail chest. If reports are accurate it seems like he can play on 2 or 3 weeks. Even if they wanted to be super conservative-4 weeks.
November 12, 20232 yr I was in Center City last night and there were people everywhere. Super busy. Somebody had to see something.
November 12, 20232 yr I subluxated a rib before from Jiu Jitsu and it hurt to move and breathe for a few weeks.... I couldn't imagine quickly coming back from multiple broken ribs. Most of the NBA players I've read about who came back after 2-3 weeks had non-displaced fractures or just cartilage damage to one rib. He's had major trauma and multiple broken ribs. Even if it does take 2-3 weeks to heal, but it's probably going to take a few additional weeks to get back into game shape, because he's not going to be able to do cardio for a while.
November 12, 20232 yr The difference in how this team is playing this year is really eye-opening. Like we knew Doc was not a good coach, but right now they’re really highlighting just how poorly coached they were the last few seasons. I’m pretty confident they wouldn’t have blown that Boston series last year if Nurse was the coach.
November 13, 20232 yr Maxey going crazy again on both sides of the ball. Stop forcing that pass to the slasher to the rim play though if it’s not open.
November 13, 20232 yr Imagine if Morey had made the right decision and traded Simmons for Haliburton instead of Harden…Embiid, Maxey, Haliburton would have been one hell of a trio.

November 13, 20232 yr Nasty nasty block by Maxey. Saving the cap space for the summer would be a mistake, win now mode.
November 13, 20232 yr This kid is so damn fun to watch. Thank god Morey at least had enough sense not to trade him.
November 13, 20232 yr Ok, I changed my mind. If we are gonna go after OG this off season, just do it soon. If he is one of the major missing parts, might as well take a shot this year to maximize the window. Now with Oubre being out, we could use his offense and defense. Then we don’t have to wear down Batum before the playoffs even start. Two 1st’s, a pick swap, and a second, is that enough?

The biggest concern is if you do it there’s a chance he wants to go test free agency. So he could very well leave unless you get a contract done at the time of the trade.

November 13, 20232 yr Got home a little bit ago from the game. It was clear at one point in the game that we were missing the 3rd scorer in Oubre. Maxey was on the court with all bench guys and it wasn't the spurts where Melton was hot. Basically no one was going anything. For tougher opponents, we will need another scorer. In addition to having oubre back soon, we need another guy who can do it for when embiid needs rest or one of them is hurt. Luckily, they were good enough to hold on to this win tonight. Indy is an interesting team. They looked completely powerless to stop the 6ers in any way during that 1st quarter. Took 2 timeouts and had no answers. I think their hapless starting lineup lulled the 6ers to sleep. But then came Turner, Hield, and McConnell off the bench. Those guys don't start but played a ton and those lineups were far better. And they fought back in to the game while the 6ers sleepwalked on defense. That's not a bad team. But they trick you at first in to thinking they're an easy opponent. McConnell was even tougher than Pat Bev tonight. What a pest. Fun to watch. I'll take him back any day. Maxey is good. More amazing defensive plays from him again to boot. How does one overshadow the kind of game embiid has tonight with his 19 first quarter points, 37 total, 13 boards and another 7 assists? Just go score 50 and make it look easy.

His full stat line plus 50 with only 3 free throw attempts. That’s super impressive.

Pacers will finish in the top 5 of the playoffs so they are a legit team that can score with anyone, but still poor on the defensive end. The East is really weak especially if Middleton can't get his knee ramped up to 34 minutes a game, then it is a two man race between Celtics and Sixers. Trade Ideas Alex Caruso for Melton and Springer. Caruso is one one of the best guard/wing defenders in the league, metrics back it up, and under contract next year. OG for Morris 3 1sts and swaps. OG is the splash. He is an elite elite wing defender and you need one to guard Tatum/Giannis combined with a career 37% from 3. He and Harris can provide the spacing so Maxey/Embiid can still work Could play Harris/OG with Oubre or Caruso depending how you want to play Wildcard Anthony Black has played well when Fultz was injured the last 10 days or so and maybe they want to just give the keys to Black. Take back Futlz and his expiring for Morris and picks. You don't have to give up any real assets for team camaraderie. He doesn't give you shooting but I think he could be that guard that plays with Embiid when Maxey sits and does everything else pretty well. or Kyle Kuzma, Jerami Grant, Brogdon or wildest of wild cards does Paul George want out lol
