I think we saw when they went to the all bench line-up with Embiid you had Kornet and Holiday guarding him, they were kicking out to the open player which more often than not was Pat Bev and he couldn't hit a shot. Morris will see his minutes go to Batum/Oubre in that situation, but if they are to run that type of line-up in the playoffs they need either Pat Bev to shoot the 3 better than 13%. It was a good opportunity for Nurse to experiment with the different looks they were seeing. Maybe Korkmaz or Springer can be the guys to take those minutes already on the roster, but I don't know if Springer can be that guy that even shoots 30% from 3.
November 16, 20232 yr Something I was impressed with was Covington's ability to slash, get to the rim and either score or draw a FT. I feel like last time he was here he was just a catch and shoot guy from 3 or those last second plays where he could tip it in off the inbound. It's something he has added to his game and if the 3 isn't falling he can at least be a threat to score.

I do but they still need to figure out which lower level assets they can trade for a feverfew scoring option to add. Because when Oubre is out they feel it. Figure out who can be had with that MLE, or 2 second round picks, salary matching with House and Kork.

Beat his shooting arm with a bat and kicked him in the ribs a few times and then told his girl that he got hit by a car to cover it up..... Id like to improve at the margins for right now. As soon as possible. That way there is still time before the deadline to determine of we should do something bigger or not. Otherwise, it can wait for the summer if we are looking good enough to contend, which we may just be. One thing Im thinking over these last few days though is, Im more afraid of a 7 game series against Indiana than I am Boston. While our newly acquired bench depth role players have provided excellent defense- they could not keep up with the speed of Indy in transition- they are all kind of old. If we can make it a half court game, we are great. If we cant slow Indy, theyre gonna be an issue. A guy like Caruso gets us younger and faster. Other guards I would look in to would be Dort, or Jevon Carter. All 3 and D guards who can defend bigger players. I also dont think we get enough out of Paul Reed. He hustles, but hes just not good at any basketball skills. Id like to re-visit the Naz Reid rumors from last year again. We could also use another guy who can score. Just in case one of Embiid, Maxey, or Oubre is ever out for a period of time. Missing one of those guys, we lack a consistent scoring punch. I dont care if he never plays outside of that scenario, but Id look for Fournier. He can fill it up when needed, but right now isnt playing at all. We probably wouldnt really want him playing for us because he cant defend. But on nights where we need another scorer on the court he can probably be useful. Fournier instead of Kork is a win, imo.
