He would be thriving in this offense.
November 17, 20232 yr I was a big Joe guy in that draft and really happy when they took him. Idiot coach never played him. Supposedly a salary cap move to not re-sign him. But that's inexcusable when they have retained Korkmaz numerous times while the poor guy doesn't even want to be here.
November 17, 20232 yr Author Soooo.....what's up with this batum "personal issue" that's causing him to miss more games?

And I've enjoyed having him. But McConnell seemed to have a much larger impact on those Pacers games, and Beverly isn't even really draining any 3s so he's been worthless on offense. I'd definitely give his minutes to Caruso.

Beverly and Roco (if he is still here) are two vets who can come off the bench in spot minutes in the playoffs when the circumstances call for it.

I think thats especially true for Beverly. I think Covington and Batum still add more to the team. Defensively Covington is still tipping a lot of passes and can do some stuff on offense. My friend pointed out to me that Batum is too slow defensively in 1 on 1s. But he is still playing good team D, and is shooting it well for us.

Batum will get hunted in the playoffs so he is a good rotation guy for the regular season but probably can't play him in the playoffs
November 17, 20232 yr Maxey Caruso Oubre Harris Embiid Melton Batum Reed Roco Springer That team will compete. Not sure we can keep all those guys in a Caruso trade though.

This team also needs to start developing dudes. It's Maxey and maybe Springer, especially with this CBA

Take guys that can play over potential Id love to see an athletic rim protecting center. Someone better at basketball than Paul Reed. I want him to become expendable. If the team is worried about tax, itd be a major move to trade his minimal production inflated poison pill contract and replace it with a rookie contract who can contribute the same, if not more. Give me a Nic Claxton, Jaxson Hayes type. Bonus if they show ability to occasionally pop a 3 like Naz Reid.
November 18, 20232 yr why the pointless runner when he could have pulled up for an easy mid-range instead? Maybe an area of Maxey's game that still needs work.

He’s not confident right now but he has to shoot his way out of it. His last 2 first quarters have been bad.
November 18, 20232 yr Might be worth giving Martin some run to see what they've got with him. The bench has almost 0 offensive production so far. Maybe he can provide some spark or replace Oubre while he is out
