I’ve watched the 2nd half of a handful of games this year (typically turn them on after I get my kids to bed around 8:30)… are they really as good as they look to me? They have a great coach who knows how to use the players he has. They also have the best depth they've had since I can remember. They're legitimately one of the top 5 teams in the NBA and have a legit championship contender - they have the 5th best odds after Boston, Denver, Milwaukee and Phoenix. They also have draft capital, expiring contracts and cap space to make a move for a star player at the deadline.

November 30, 20232 yr This might be a game to rest Maxey in the second half and have him fresh for Boston on Friday.
November 30, 20232 yr Its kinda sad this is the kind of performance the team gives without embiid. Anyway, of note- Embiid out, they still dont start Reed, and Bamba hardly plays. I dont understand why they signed Bamba and paid so much money for Reed. Reed hasnt really stepped up and produced impressively tonight either. Thats one position that can really use upgrading. This team is completely sunk without Embiid. No backup can give the same kind of impact he can, but they can try to find a nice player who can be a little dynamic there. The more I look at the issue, the more I think the biggest missing piece, more than a guard like OG or even Bridges, would be a fringe star 4 who can play 5 when Embiid is out. Markkanen.
November 30, 20232 yr Kate Scott has a stiffy. Somehow the lead is down to single digits. Too late though.

Bamba was a terrible signing. The guy is horrible at basketball. He is like 8 feet tall with a long wing span and he cant even make put backs right at the rim. He can't shoot, dribble, pass, or play defense. KJ Martin also stinks. Neither of those guys should get playing time unless is a blow out.

They are just too reliant on Maxey and Embiid. Batum hasn't averaged above 10 ppg since 2018. Covington is at over 10ppg just twice since 2020 and once was half a year. Nuggets had 6 guys over 10ppg in last year's playoffs. Right now Sixers have 5 guys and Melton is one who in 3 years never averaged over 8ppg in the playoffs This team needs another guy, preferably a wing. And then this
December 1, 20232 yr I find it odd that Ben Detrick implies efficiency is uncharacteristic for Harris. Hes been nothing but efficient since his LA days. The knock is that he isnt aggressive enough to step up in spots when needed. It also seems to me that Oubre is the extra wing they are currently missing and will be in good shape when he returns.
December 1, 20232 yr Rumblings of Joel missing tonight. He is under the weather still apparently. Springer had the same illness and was out a few games. Bev has been sick but has been playing and practicing. He said on his podcast that he didn't tell anyone he is sick either.

I took the Celtics with the points, just talent level should win out and really Sixers haven't looked good without Joel

After tonight's game, the long rest will do him good. If the Sixers find a way to win tonight without Joel, that would be crazy. I don't see it happening either. If Oubre wasn't rusty, we might have been able to get 22-25 from him tonight but its very unlikely with all his time missed.

December 1, 20232 yr I think could get between 44-48k before the new year, which are the next two points where it would stop when looking at a chart . The spot BTC ETF that Blackrock submitted paperwork for should be approved during the next open window which I is between the 10-12th of January. A do think a correction is coming, but so hard to tell when. If want to play a stock, look up CLSK, which is a BTC mining company. It could do a 10-20x in the next 18 months. The real alpha is the next meme coin is BONK on Solana ecosystem.
