That those guys are not good enough, it's pretty obvious what my argument is with the Sixers. Melton and Harris cannot be your 3rd or 4th best guys to win a title.

Theres more than one way to skin a cat. You are viewing it from the offensive perspective, that you need players who will pour in the most points.

From the 76ers standpoint we have 2 stars, but a whole bunch of defensive wings with length. Those guys are meant to take away other team's stars. Which still evens the playing field. Just the opposite way that you are envisioning.

I agree and what makes the NBA so much fun to watch right now, is the variety of styles teams are playing but as you said the successful ones have one thing in common and its length. 

With Batum and Covington out it will be interesting tonight. We know Embiid will show up and do TWolves put McDaniels on Maxey to slow him down, but its the other 3 in Melton, Oubre, and Harris who in the last five games are averaging about 27 points a game combined. 

I am just a lot lower on those 3 than you and others. I would prefer another ball handler that can create his own shot as well.  A Keldon Johnson or De'Andre Hunter for expirings and a 1st or 2 would be upgrades. Pacers are slowing down, is Buddy available.

Decimated a healthy Lakers team. Now beating the West's best team by double digits. It seems like this 6ers team is kinda good. Who knew?

We are gonna need some scoring help from guys besides Maxey and Joel. Harris is such a bum. Maybe Oubre when he is fully healthy and back.

yeah. Harris is slumping bad. Suddenly Melton isnt scoring much either, last couple games. Oubre's scoring should dip a bit now that hes back to the bench role, but he could have done more tonight since he started.

I dont think youll see a sustained slump from all 3. At least one of them is going to pick it up, and on most nights through the rest of the season all of them will be better.

Embiid has an asterisk for post-season let down so far, but hes in the discussion for best pure scorer or all time right now. Hes definitely gotta be in the discussion for best 76er of all time.

For now, you just have to take the bad with the good because if you waste time complaining about the probable playoff collapse coming, youre gonna miss this generational player doing things we may never see again.

Expanding on this from what I already said- they didnt not get help tonight. 

The only one who had poor shooting night was Harris on 4/10 shooting. And he had the 3rd most shots on the team with only 10.

There was just no one else taking a volume of shots, so no ONE other individual player had a notable scoring performance.

     Embiid and Maxey combined for 49 of the 84 shots the team took. The 35 non-Embiid/Maxey shots were divided among 9 other players. 

     The team overall shot 53.6% for the game. 

     The bench players combined for 8/17 shooting. Thats 47% shooting for the bench unit. Quite good.

     Oubre and Melton were 3/6 and 1/2. 50%

Embiid and Maxey got help from pretty much the entire rest of the team. And it was very good help. 

Im pretty confident that if someone like Melton or Oubre HAD to step up and take more shots tonight, the team would have still faired well.

As it was, everyone pitched in with great balance and unselfishness, and let our stars be stars. As it should be. Thats why we want to be careful with trades so as not to upset this balance. This team is really, really damn good.

If he can stay healthy through the playoffs that's the main thing. He cops some freak injury and plays through it which in turn hurts his performance. 

He has been better this season than he was last season, and he won the MVP last season

It’s more than that. When things aren’t going well or going his way, he becomes a baby. Instead of getting mad and pushing through, he pouts and his body language turns poor. Hopefully he has matured passed that.

It's fair to criticise the body language at times, but he plays through injury and guts it out. The LCL sprain was a 4 week injury and he was back in 2. He has had an orbital fracture twice, torn meniscus and the tendon injury in his thumb. The only time he was healthy in the playoffs was the bubble where he had a complete dumpster fire team around him. History says he will get injured in the playoffs, but if he can manage to get through them relatively unscathed this team has a serious shot.

The bubble team was great. Mostly because of Thybulle's vlogs.

Hopefully OG continues to suck and we can get him for less draft picks than initially needed. 

Of course Harris missed the shot that would have given Embiid a triple double 😂

Scotty Barnes is one of the most overrated players in the NBA. Also, im not trading 3 first round pics for OG. If they wanna sign him to a bad contract in the off season without giving up picks, that’s preferable.
