January 11, 20242 yr His basically gave up on defense since he got to Atlanta when he was elite guard with the Spurs but he is an upgrade over Melton. Get Bogdan as well, never enough of shooting
January 12, 20242 yr I suspect hes the type of player Nurse would get the most out of. Those long lanky athletic types at Toronto, he fits the bill. I think he would look closer to Spurs Murray than Hawks Murray. Id love to get Bogdan in the deal. But Id even be happy and settle with Bey too.

Or, Melton, Covington and Springer. Or Melton, Covington, and KJ Martin. Obviously picks are involved in these trades as well.
January 13, 20242 yr Harris is at 33 with almost the whole 4th quarter to go. Could the 6ers have their 3rd different 40 point scorer on the season? 35 now.
January 13, 20242 yr Love to get him. Don’t think the sixers can beat offers others have. I think jazz want more of young high upside players over just picks as they have a ton from the twolves for the gobert trade and from the Mitchell trade.

Thunder have 15 1sts and young assets in Giddy and others. He would fit perfectly with them

He would fit perfectly with them I’m guessing if Okc offered him a max (contract is up after next year) he’d likely take it. But I’m curious if he’d want to leave OKC to go somewhere that’s a city he’d want to be in. If Okc doesn’t offer the max i think there’s a good chance he’d go elsewhere. I want to ask some of the coaches here about that.

He is having a fine year for getting moved down the pecking order this year. He is up to 37% from 3 this year and in the playoffs vibe game vs the Celtics hit 4 of 7 from 3 the other week. Not to mention he is an elite passer and good rebounder. At 21, he is the best young asset any team can offer for Lauri unless the Pelicans want to give up Trey Murphy

I was seeing articles earlier in the year titled something like... OKC has Josh Giddey problem. Can't shoot, can't defend.

Can't shoot, can't defend. I watch a lot of Thunder games, fun team to watch. He is taking a lot less shots and went from 2nd to 4th in the pecking order behind Jalen and Chet now. They also got Spurs shooting coach, Kawhi guy, last year and bet he has helped tweaked his shot. Keyonte George and Giddey would be a good young backcourt for the Jazz. Let's be honest Karl Malone impregnated a 13 year old and Jazz fans could have cared less so Giddey will fit right in.
January 13, 20241 yr There are so many names that seem to be available. This could be a crazy deadline.

Only thing they can't do is not make a move and try to say we'll we got this salary cap in the offseason. Embiid will be 30 and OG/Kawhi now off the board so options are getting smaller.
January 14, 20241 yr Some sites are coming up with proposed Tyus Jones deals. He a good player but I'm not sure that really fits a big difference making need for us. I guess he is an expiring deal so it's a way to maintain cap space in the summer. I'd just as soon do nothing and keep those assets to use in the summer as well, instead of wasting assets just to do something. On another note, reportedly the Hawks were just asking for Quickley and a 1st from the Knicks for Murray It doesn't sound like a steep skiing price.
January 14, 20241 yr Gordon Hayward is available but many teams are viewing him as a buyout candidate. That would be a nice buyout move.

He is an old school lead guard that is also a really good 3 point shot. Bet every contender has called about Tyus. You can't do nothing, they need another guy if not two if can get a lead guard as well. Cap space is cool but who is even available at this point. Two wings just went off the market, Siakam is gonna want 4 years max and already 30. If you think Grant can be the 3rd best guy on a contending team then you just do the deal and get Brogdon as well. I think you can get him for Morris, Covington and most of the picks. So core stays intact
January 15, 20241 yr I love old school pass first PGs. Especially those that can shoot. Steve Nash is my all time favorite player. I just thing think hes a fit with the current makeup of this team. Im with you on the Grant/Brogdon trade though. Thats been maybe the best option theyve potentially had for months and months.
