January 17, 20241 yr Great game last night. Would love to see these two teams face off in the Finals.

Nope, you are just jealous that they won it all last year. You actually sound like a Cowboys fan....making excuses not only when your team loses, but excuses for another team's/player's success. Pathetic. And the lies about Jokic being a stat padder have already been debunked. Stop listening to Kendrick Perkins. Plus, it would be nice to see Embiid actually play against Jokic and the Nuggets when they are in Denver, rather than just in Philly....something he hasn't done since 2019.
January 17, 20241 yr We are witnessing a legend in the making, folks. Let’s get this man a championship, please.

You are a long way from Denver.

January 17, 20241 yr I didnt know we had a Broncos fan in the EMB let alone in the 6ers thread. That was an amusing pop in that came out of nowhere.
January 17, 20241 yr He was around in here crowing a bit when the Nuggets won the championship I believe

January 17, 20241 yr Didnt seem like the Pacers needed another F, but Siakam will be a nice fit for their athletic team. Read they were building packages around Hield and 2 firsts to try to upgrade. Surprised he wasnt included. Wonder if he still gets moved somewhere.

They got an All Star type wing that does a bit of everything and he should fit in well with Hali. He gives them much needed size as well. The 1sts seem like in 20s range this year in a weak draft but he is also on an expiring so value seems fair. Siakam basically said no to the Kings in a trade but would go to the Pacers so seems likely he will resign there. Shouldn't affect the Sixers but Bucks should want to avoid them in the 1st round. They already beat them 3 times and now got better.

January 18, 20241 yr It depends on what they think their biggest need is right now. Is it another wing? A scorer for the bench so when they have injuries and Oubre is forced into the starting lineup they still have an option? Someone to play next to Maxey and push Melton to the bench or move him in a trade? I'd be reluctant to F with the team chemistry that they have right now. They did that when they traded for Harden. Obviously Simmons was a problem, but the rest of the team were quite close and performing. They lost Curry and Drummond in the trade and the wheels fell off when they couldn't sign anyone of value in the buyout market.
January 18, 20241 yr Quote Appearing on FanDuel TV's Run It Back, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium said the Sixers plan to be "active" at the deadline, but they aren't expected to pursue top trade targets like Dejounte Murray, Zach LaVine or Pascal Siakam.

January 18, 20241 yr Look, even as a Nuggets fan, I can admit that Embiid is the more talented player. It's why he was a top 3 pick and Jokic wasn't picked til round 2. The fact that it's even a discussion is a testament to Jokic's ability and work ethic. However Embiid is a little better. No problem admitting it because it's true. But that doesn't change the fact that Jokic is still a great player. Not THE best, but one of the best. And the Nuggets had been building something for a while and after some setbacks, most notably Murray's injury, it all came together last year. They are far from frauds and any real basketball fan with an ounce of knowledge knows that. No problem thinking Embiid is better, because from a talent standpoint he is. And when these two face off, its usually a great game. But at least have the balls to give credit and respect to Jokic and the Nuggets. To not do so isn't tough, its cowardly. I honestly could not care less who is better who wins MVP....I root for the team above all else.

Jokic is the Dak Prescott of Centers and the Nuggets Steven Bradburyed their way to an NBA title
January 18, 20241 yr What would it cost to acquire Scary Terry? He is making 23 mil this year and 25 mil next year as his final contract year. He would be an amazing 6th man. 3 level scorer who is shooting 38% in 8 attempts from 3. He can handle the ball and averages 6.7 apg.

They probably want young players and picks in return. It probably depends on matching the salary, but he isn't an expiring contract. Looking at the 76'ers they would probably want someone like Reed or maybe Springer and picks. I don't think Rozier would fetch a first but the market is what teams are willing to pay.
January 18, 20241 yr I just had a look at salaries, easiest way to get Rozier would be something like Morris and Kork. Otherwise it is something along the lines of Cov, Kork and House to match the numbers

I honestly could not care less who is better who wins MVP....I root for the team above all else. Jokic has been a step ahead. He won the MVP first. Embiid finally got his MVP and Jokic got his championship in the same season and finals MVP which was kind of like a poetic slap in the face to Joel. Jokic had the better all around offensive game. Embiid played better defense. Now Embiid has dramatically increased his assists and closed gap in the major statistical advantage Joker had over him. However, Jokic is still the one who is out there for the team above all else. Joel is still stat chasing. Im not sure when thats going to change. Probably not till he is already in decline and starts having to take a back seat to a younger star, as a ring chaser.

I dont think we want a guy like him being the reason we dont have a boat load of cap space this summer.
