The Hornets are an awful and rebuilding team. They probably want young players and picks in return. It probably depends on matching the salary, but he isn't an expiring contract. Looking at the 76'ers they would probably want someone like Reed or maybe Springer and picks. I don't think Rozier would fetch a first but the market is what teams are willing to pay.

They way he is playing and the way the market is right now, he would fetch a 1st I would imagine.

I dont think we want a guy like him being the reason we dont have a boat load of cap space this summer.

I hear you. I was just saying to go for it all this year, he would be the missing piece. We need more offense off the bench and a ball handler. He isn’t scared to take a shot at the end of game. Not that he should be option 1 or 2, but he can be clutch at times.

The guy that probably makes the most sense is Caruso and he is apparently untouchable.

I think Id rather them go for Tyus Jones. Rozier has always been streaky. Hes tiny. Is he still playing good defense though?

Haven’t been watching Char games but I would assume he is still bad on defense.

Im not sure a PG is our biggest need or "missing piece" but Im not against help at any position.

Tyus Jones has been mentioned a lot and is a good player on an expiring contract. Thats ideal for cap purposes.

Klay Thompson is in the last year of his deal making a big salary. Someone you would have to trade Tobi for.

I dont really have any interest in decreasing our defensive potential. We already dont play good defense, mostly.

In the playoffs these days, it’s really more about out scoring your opponent.

He can play D and has shot 41.5% from 3 this season. It again depends on what position they target. Are they happy with Melton at SG and Pat Bev as the lead guard when Maxey rests? Caruso could replace Melton in the starting lineup and you have Pat Bev, Melton and Oubre play the 1-3 with the second unit.

What would it cost to acquire Scary Terry? He is making 23 mil this year and 25 mil next year as his final contract year. He would be an amazing 6th man. 3 level scorer who is shooting 38% in 8 attempts from 3. He can handle the ball and averages 6.7 apg.

He has been playing out of his mind this year and him/Oubre would be a amazing 2nd unit. Not sure what happens to Pat Bev and his minutes at that point but oh well. He is owed like 24 and 24 next two years so have to commit to him long term and doesn't seem like team wants that.

I keep hearing about assets and cap space  for this summer but who is available? Siakam will sign with Pacers, OG off the market, Kawhi has extended, PG looking like he will extend, LaVine does not fit this team and think Mitchell as well.  Are you hoping Heat make a run at Donovan Mitchell and you get Jimmy Butler for a two year run in a 3 way trade?

I don't see who is left and an actual FA and can rule out Jrue who is slowing down, 35 year old DeRozen pass, LeBron is a pipe dream. Tobias is the best guy left and no one wants to give him 3/100 or something in that range. Banking on Embiid to continue to stay healthy and being content this year makes no sense to me.

Morris and Covington can get you 28 million a year, go get the guy and try to win a title this year and not mess up the mojo either.

Tobias is a better player than Klay at this point in their careers and not close really. All those leg injuries have caught up to him. Klay is a once a week type player at this point

You may be right. Not my preference but Im unlikely to complain about any player they bring in. Im always happy for change, getting to watch someone new, and to see how it works out. My criticism is usually about value and Morey being an idiot. If Rozier is the move, I wont be thrilled to have his salary on the books this summer. I think there are other win now moves on expiring contracts, or on contracts that you wont mind having like if they could land Mikal Bridges.

With the cap space you can turn the old guys like Morris and Covington in to even better role players. Guys like Jrue Holiday, Klay Thompson.... there are others...not your prime super stars but you can take this incredible depth we already have this year and put it on steroids.

Hey don't criticize Morey, he turned Simmons and Harden into Morris, Covington, and 2 1sts! That is some great value lol

Rozier probably isnt the move but we can agree that we definitely only need a couple role players now, no longer is a 3rd option needed thanks to Batum and Oubre.

We are on the same page.

But they are both FA and going to want to get paid. Klay is not worth 20 a year at this point, he doesn't move the needle for me at all. He is pretty much cooked at this point.

Jrue will be 34 and a lot of miles on him with the playoffs as well. Nice story but 25 to 30 a year is a lot

Both guys sound sexy with their names but rather risk it with Fultz and his bum knee to be honest.

It doesn't look great. PG and Jrue have player options, I think OG does as well. Otherwise most of the upcoming FA's are guys that are about ready to fall off a cliff if they haven't already (Lowry and DeRozan) or the best available option is actually Harris.

Only dudes under contract next year are Embiid, Springer, and Reeds non guaranteed which they will pick up. They will extend Maxey with a max but still have to fill out 11 spots left.

That is a hellva lot of turnover with basically one young guy for the future you trust in Maxey.

Also what @DaEagles4Life said about Klay, he is done.

I think he might even retire at the end of the year. I remember seeing this a couple weeks back. Kerr had to pull him aside and he talks about just enjoying his last chapter.

Damn that is a humbling interview, always liked him as a player but those injuries, ACL and then Achilles.

If want to pick around the edges look at DFS or Royce O'Neal from the Nets. Both wings that are versatile and cost controlled. I wouldn't trust Covington at this point with his knee.

I credit the NBA for stepping in and making the teams resolve the Harden situation.  Otherwise who knows how that would have ended. Or when.  He would probably still be here making a sideshow.

Still goes back to Grant and Brogdon. Fit. And as good as anyone you can sign in the summer. Perfect trade.

My issue with Covington is his shot is and always has been to streaky.  Sometimes he just doesn't have it,  for multiple games in a row.

I like him but that's the spot I'm looking to upgrade.

I was thinking about O'Neal the other night. I don't know if the Nets are at the point of selling off pieces yet.

Kuzma was another but I don't like him. Not worth the potential headache

Aren't they both on about 20 mill each?
