We just witnessed Sixers history. What a performance.

not me. I had a 7th, 8th, and 9th grade triple header instead. Got home when he was leaving the game.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that I think Joel Embiid might have a future in this game of basketball if he sticks with it. He seems to be pretty good at it.

Before tonight I was already thinking that its time to talk about where he ranks on the list of all time scorers. Tonight motivated me to actually ask the question.

Im not talking about career total points. I know hes not near the top yet. And he may never have that longevity. But as a pure scorer, how many have ever actually been better?

I think we are witnessing history every night with him.

He is insane. The crazy thing with Embiid is he can be the best player on both ends of the court, but to break Wilts record in a guard dominated league says a hell of a lot as to how special he is as a player

This is all well and good but until he dominates in the playoffs and wins a championship, these are all individual accomplishments.

There have been 2 games in NBA history where a player had 65+ points, 15+ Rebounds and 5+ Assists.

Michael Jordan in 1990 and Joel Embiid tonight.

Noteworthy that, out of 41 shots, only 2 were from behind the arc. Nurse seems to be using him a lot more effectively then Would-You-Ask-Pop-That-Question did.

Doc Brown.

Did it in 36 minutes! Kobe played 42 minutes when getting 81

I agree.  But playoff time is the time to bish about that.  Doing it now means you can't fully enjoy watching history being made.

He is currently 1st all time in points per minute,  and 4th all time in points per game.

You gotta just enjoy him while he's out there.  Then I'll talk about trading him when he's injured in playoffs.

Sorry man, all I care about is a championship at this point. The 30-10 games and streak of 30+ sprinkled in with some 50 and 70 points games are great accomplishments in the regular season. Impress me in the playoffs. You don’t watch the Phillies but between them, the Eagles and Sixers failing over and over again these last few years, all I care about is a ring. Im gonna do the opposite. If he wins a championship, I’ll go back and watch these games and enjoy them fully. For now, I’ll negadelphian it up.

Points per minute last 5 70+ point games:

Kobe - 1.928

Lillard - 1.820

Mitchell - 1.42

Booker - 1.555

Embiid - 1.944

I used to always sit lower level in one of the 3 sections behind the basket. For years I was able to get seats in the first 5 rows of those sections for less than 90 dollars before fees).

This year, not really at all. So now that my kids are older and Im bringing 2 of them with me, we sat upper level at the last game we went to. Those tickets were only 43 bucks, and I have to say the view was just fine.

It looks farther away through a camera lense than it does in person. I think the club seats would be pretty darn nice. But I also know you had ridiculous row 2 courtside seats a few years ago so obviously its not going to compare to that.

I forgot to respond to this because we had a 70 point performance earlier. I feel like the seats are far more expensive than they were 6 years ago. I guess part of it is the opponent, but Wells Fargo tickets do seem more expensive than other arenas, for example I went to a Heat game in 2022 in Miami and it was about $40 per ticket for row 20 odd in section 123.

Yeah I don't think I'll compare anything to those courtside seats  the price I got that seat for was ridiculously cheap. I think they want $1500ish on Stub Hub ($800 on Seat Geek) before fees for the same seat now and I paid something like $450.

If I was going on my own I'd try and get the cheapest seat as close to the action, but because I'm going with my mum I think the more comfortable seats will be better for her.

Yep.  Prices do vary by opponent.  But they are for sure generally up across the board as well.

I think you'll be pretty happy with the club section.

Your new profile pic is scarier than my last one.

Rozier traded to the Heat for Lowry and a 2027 first

Good player this year and a much cheaper version than LaVine

They tried to move on from Lowry when they went after Dame. Rozier is their consolation prize without breaking the bank

The more I look at the numbers, it's not a stretch to say that was the greatest individual performance in modern NBA history.

70 points on 24/41 shooting, 21/23 from the line, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, a steal and a block.

Ridiculous.
