I love this team! I think he is well aware he only has a few years left and why wants to play this year. East is open for the taking
February 6, 20241 yr Apparently Paul George is not close on an extension with the Clippers. Wonder if this report coming out now means he can be available at the deadline

February 7, 20241 yr Even in the wake of Joel Embiid’s knee surgery, the Sixers are hoping to move a future swap to acquire more imminent first-round picks, sources said, than the first-round capital that Philadelphia currently has available. The Sixers' soonest pick they can trade won’t come until 2026. So while Philadelphia’s three picks it yielded in return for James Harden would suggest the Sixers have plenty of ammunition to go out and acquire a meaningful player, Philadelphia seems to be prioritizing ways to buy now, while maintaining future flexibility. Philadelphia is exploring conversations with a variety of teams, but one known target for the Sixers is Pacers guard Buddy Hield, league sources told Yahoo Sports. Hield’s $18.5 million dollar salary would be a match for several of the Sixers’ expiring contracts, and his expiring deal wouldn’t add future financial burden onto Philadelphia’s clean cap sheet for this offseason, as the Sixers have left rival teams with the impression they are still wary of taking back longterm salary at this juncture. Another target for the Sixers is Pistons guard Bojan Bogdanović, sources said, who is on the books for $20 million this season, but has just $2 million guaranteed for 2024-25. Detroit has long shown an interest in a reunion with Tobias Harris, league sources told Yahoo Sports, but in any deal where the Sixers bring back Bogdanović, it would seem Philadelphia doesn’t want to part with Harris. https://sports.yahoo.com/andrew-wiggins-appears-to-be-warriors-biggest-trade-chip-but-a-deal-remains-a-challenge-225816934.html
February 7, 20241 yr If they could get Hield and Bojan without giving up Harris they be the team to beat.
February 7, 20241 yr Deadline is 3PM tomorrow. Still not a lot of very concrete rumors about 6ers talks. More just some speculation of who they should be looking in to.

February 7, 20241 yr Windy expects the 6ers to make 1-3 trades. I'm going to guess Hield and Drummond. Not sure who else but I think those 2 make a lot of sense.

Klay isn't even closing every game for the Warriors at this point. I can see the thought process to get a shooter like Klay or Buddy on an expiring , but as said prior Klay is good once a week if that. Morey is going to love this cap space too much and end up with no one or bum LaVine in the summer.
February 7, 20241 yr No to Klay or Drummond. Can't play Drummond in the playoffs. Waste of a roster spot. I'd prefer to get rebounding from a stretch 4 player if possible. Brodgon/Bojan should be the move depending on price.
February 7, 20241 yr Maxey is questionable tonight. If he can't go, give heavy minutes off the bench to Terq and Ricky. They are probably our best scorers after Tobi.

February 7, 20241 yr Terq can score 15-17 points in 20-25 minutes if he gets playing time. Let him run.

The Hawks fans were saying that their defense in general is really bad. If his defense is somewhere between the Spurs and Hawks, he will be sufficient. And he has length which we will need against Boston.

Bad because of the two guards lol I think it's an upgrade over Melton and would do the trade but have to wonder that he just played with a guard with a high usage in Trae, 30%, and going to another higher usage guy in Maxey, 27% If they can get Bogdan in the deal as well then it's a big win.

Question is if he just doesn't care now or if it's somehow the team/coach/system/fit that's making him worse on D. I think that's the biggest coup we can hope for at the deadline. I didn't really expect it to happen. I'd just be thrilled with Hields scoring and expiring contract, and a legit backup 5 to help float us for the next 4 weeks.
