Imo they were not going to get both bojan and buddy. It was one or the other and I’m guessing the pistons wanted more than what we wanted to offer to beat the Knicks offer. also, the 2024 off-season isn’t just about free agent signings. With five first round picks and up to $65 million in cap space if a player wants out and you have the ability to make that move. It’s not strictly just about the free agents that are going to be available. Don’t get me wrong. I think it’s gonna blow up in their face. But it was always a strong possibility that the Sixers as soon as they traded James Harden, or knew they had to they were likely gonna take a step back this year and then go all in in the 2024 off-season. It really shouldn’t be a surprise. I talked about this at length last off-season. Whether it works out or not is a completely different different story. But the surprise aspect of it shouldn’t be there.
