May 27, 20241 yr I’d probably feel this way if PG was 2-3 years younger. At 34 feels like you get maybe 1-2 high quality years and then you are basically wasting whatever is left of Embiid’s prime (might not be much at that point) then wasting maxey’s prime on potentially Embiid and PG who might both be done

Ive talked about wanting Vassel in the past. And a pipedream KAT scenario. If both George and Ingram fall through, the Sixers would have to get creative or hope for unexpected opportunities. What if the Timberwolves are looking to escape the second apron and move on from Karl-Anthony Towns? If the Hornets draft a point guard, what would that mean for LaMelo Ball? Is there a way to overpay the Spurs for Devin Vassell? Maybe the Nets would move away from Mikal Bridges, who could return home to Philadelphia and the team that originally drafted him. Or how about making the Jazz an offer for Lauri Markkanen that they can’t refuse? These scenarios might sound far-fetched, but they illustrate the level of creativity the Sixers must employ if they whiff on George. Just why he hell isnt it LeBron, or one of these guys?

KAT is a wet blanket Lauri and Mikal just seem like pipe dreams and even if are on the table other teams can offer a lot more than Philly can. Clippers won't give PG the 4th year so if he wants to come East then no doubt Morey will give him the 4 for 220
May 28, 20241 yr Doug McDermott is a FA next year, he will be a cheap bench depth at the very least play regular season minutes and spot playoff minutes in certain matchups
May 28, 20241 yr Remember what a great player Caleb Martin was 2 years ago after I wanted him in free agency? Then, last year not as big a year for him. Whats up with him? Hes still young. I think Id be keeping a close eye on his player option situation. Malik Monk, Caleb Martin, Taurean Prince, KCP, Malik Beasley, Kyle Anderson, Lonnie Walker, there is plenty of complementary wing starters and depth available. A somewhat cheap trade for Finney-Smith, keeping Oubre and adding 1 or 2 of those guys listed- team would be in great shape. And nothing but really affordable, and tradable contracts.

Meh, not really. They can move Randle for pieces and Bojan will be an expiring who they can move. At most, the Sixers can offer him a four-year, $181.9 million contract in free agency, while the Knicks can offer him a five-year deal worth as much as $245.3 million The cap will be jumping 10% for the next few years as well
