June 23, 20241 yr The 76ers are exactly where they are supposed to be, a standard 1st round loser who must at all costs, lose by the 2nd round. At their best, it's where they will stay. It's the franchise's ceiling.
June 23, 20241 yr If he opts in he’s going to be like harden situation. I’m not up on the cba but wasnt the reason harden couldn’t sign an extension until after the season was due to doing that. Meaning if that happens PG would need to play well and stay healthy to get a max. And at 35 i think he can only get 3 year max.
June 23, 20241 yr If the Knicks go after PG I wonder if it’s a sign and trade and OG becomes much more realistic for the sixers

June 24, 20241 yr I guess the Grant and Brogdon trade idea can still be pondered on. Or aim higher for Andernee Simons even though he makes a pretty small back court with Maxey. The Portland Trail Blazers are expected to listen to offers for several of their veteran players this offseason. Portland is currently set to be over the luxury tax line, and that's not where a rebuilding team can be. One player the Blazers may move is veteran forward Jerami Grant. Several teams, including the Dallas Mavericks, have checked in on Grant's availability. The Trail Blazers are also expected to explore the trade market for Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams III, and potentially Anfernee Simons and Deandre Ayton.

June 24, 20241 yr It shouldn't take much to trade for George. This is basically the Jimmy Butler situation. The team trading the star in a sign and trade scenario has no leverage and are lucky to get anything instead of the free agent just walking. We got Josh Richardson for Butler... straight up. No draft picks exchanged between the 2 main teams in the deal although Miami did part with a future 1st that went elsewhere in the 4 team deal. In such a scenario it is almost even value for us to send a guy like Paul Reed or sign and swap someone like Melton. I don't want to max PG, but what I'm getting at is, hopefully the trade compensation won't be anything to be upset over. It shouldn't be.

I know harden couldn’t sign an extension until the season was over once he did and was traded.
