Windhorst said there seem to be 3 options. Re-sign for about what Leonard got. Opt in and trade possibly to Golden State. Or free agency and sign with 6ers.

The way he stated it makes it sound like we are not in a trade negotiation. Would only be interested as a FA signing.

That guy never improved and I believe he got put in to a trade package last year.

agree with windhorst’s take. it makes no sense for the Sixers to trade for him if he opts in. They could’ve just signed him and given up nothing but cap to get him. If he opts in likely means either clips caved or warriors met a price the clips would take. Unless someone out of left field wants him and he wants to go there which seems far fetched. When’s the opt in date? Has to be before Sunday

I would be not shocked if the pelicans wait to see where Paul George goes. Because I think whoever doesn’t get Paul George becomes a little bit more desperate to get somebody.
