July 1, 20241 yr That's a pretty good deal for Oubre, I thought he would get more in the open so good result for the Sixers
July 1, 20241 yr I think the most impressive thing out of all of this is that we didn't have to give up a single pick

Then they have like a ton of exceptions. At least they put in a second apron which listening to neubeck and bodner talk about it, their nba sources are saying teams are basically viewing the second apron as a hard cap due to all of the restrictions
July 1, 20241 yr Totally should trade him if we can find someone who’s a starter who’s worth anywhere from $8-15 mil
July 1, 20241 yr They get that extra dollars because of the trade exception from the Harden trade right?

Was listening to bodner talk on their podcast earlier tonight, basically the jist of it is in the new cba if you are under the cap and make a trade you can trade a player and take back up to $7.5 mil more. So theoretically, they could have McCain and reed going out and they can take back $19.5 million.

Bodner and neubeck discussed this, teams are avoiding doing it cause it’s basically like a hard cap tend to think they look at DFS or someone in the 9-12 mil range on a team trying to rebuild and wants to unload a guy for a draft pick
