Yup. I’d argue their salary cap of any of the sports is by far the worst. Then they have like a ton of exceptions. At least they put in a second apron which listening to neubeck and bodner talk about it, their nba sources are saying teams are basically viewing the second apron as a hard cap due to all of the restrictions

Was listening to bodner talk on their podcast earlier tonight, basically the jist of it is in the new cba if you are under the cap and make a trade you can trade a player and take back up to $7.5 mil more. So theoretically, they could have McCain and reed going out and they can take back $19.5 million.

Finney-smith makes sense but him and oubre both have to be better shooting 3s to make it work. Oubre shot 31% and DFS shot 35% last year.

Issue with Markkanen have to give up draft picks and win a bidding war. the second apron isn’t an issue year one, but when Markkanen gets his extension next summer you basically are stuck in the second apron for 3 years and it hinders how you can maneuver. Bodner and neubeck discussed this, teams are avoiding doing it cause it’s basically like a hard cap 

tend to think they look at DFS or someone in the 9-12 mil range on a team trying to rebuild and wants to unload a guy for a draft pick
