So embiid is showing up late because hes not happy with how he is being used?

Id agree with him if Nurse is the reason Embiid isnt parking his fat slow ass down in the low post to rebound and defend. But we have seen Embiid play this way with various different coaches now so it seems like an Embiid thing rather than a coaching thing.

 

Next step is Embiid’s value will tank, he’ll get traded for pennies on the dollar, and he’ll go win a title somewhere as the 2 or 3.  

Might have the big 3 on the court together for the first time tonight.

this is embiid's "practice" moment. he has the chance to step up, take accountability, & lead by example....or he can put on his boo-boo face & go through the motions while the team sinks into obscurity before finally trading him. i have a feeling it will be the latter...but we'll see.

saw your post...but idk who those tweeters are or who their sources are so i'm not taking that as gospel.  i'll be at friday's game...it will be interesting to see what kind of reaction he gets. hell...maybe he'll even come out for pre-game warmups with the rest of the team for once.

Devon is connected. When he spills a rumor, it’s always been true so far. 

Apparently nick nurse likes using the phrase,  elephant in the room.  Based on that quote. It is theorized that nick nurse leaked the details of the team meeting. 

That would be a very 76ers think to have happen. If that's the case,  hard to see him last the season.

so many people are focusing on the leaker instead of the superstar player who doesn't give a sheet & always shows up late. 

If you were a vet on the team looking for a ring or a young guy looking to compete and improve your game, how would you feel in this situation? You come to work on time, put in the work, take care of your stuff in the off season and make less money than Joel. You know that your chance of a finals is contingent upon Joel also being responsible for his duties. If this was leaked and I was in that locker room, I would be just fine with it. 

What happens when you openly promote tanking and wanting to be losers for years. The culture still exists and we see it with Embiid. To move on, everyone and everything must be cut from that era, including Embiid. 

When you promote being a loser organization, you are a loser organization

So many candidates that could leak it with all these vets. I bet an old vet like PJ Tucker from last year who had to be around Embiid will leak crap.

Dude has played 2 games and looked like crap. This is the rare occasion where it's okay to say, shut the F up and hoop. 

High pick and roll with Maxey or get the ball at the FT line and operate. This crap ain't rocket science.

I don't think any big rift was implied to begin with. 

I don't think there are locker room chemist issues.  But certainly effort issues with Embiid being habitually late and coaches asking players to practice better.

This.  Who gives an ish who leaked it.  Also blaming Nurse for anything is laughable.  There's been one common denominator over the past 8 years with all the failures - Embiid.  

I didn’t have an issue with them tanking. They needed to bottom out to get a superstar so they could get themselves back to being a legit contender. They were never signing that type of player and rarely get that type of superstar traded here. The issue is they could’ve went about it without the hoopla surrounding it. Which goes back to ownership allowing for it to be like a circus of celebrating it. If they went about it like OKC i don’t think NBA would’ve been as pissed. Still not happy a bigger market was that bad but the glorifying it made the nba pissed off more.

Frankly it’s gonna happen again. Only way you are gonna get a superstar you need is being bad or getting lucky and hitting middle of the first on that star which frankly we shown we can hit on smaller guards that can be really good secondary guys but not the guy

The issue with tanking is....  We don't have a 1st Round Pick next year.  (It's protected 1-6)

If you tank, you need to make sure that you tank HARD.

There can be more than one issue.

Nothing about Nurse is said to absolve Embiid at all.

At this point they are 2-11. They are tied with the wizards for the worst record. They are already doing a good job of it without trying.

that said i suspect they aren’t this bad all year especially with all 3 guys on the court together. Problem is Embiid and PG likely miss time at some point again. I think they shouldn’t deal more future picks to try helping this team this and next year.
