Some of that and maybe a trade for a very good PF. I mean, I would be ok with Yabu starting if PG could show he has anything left in the tank. But so far not good. If he can't be the 3rd star with Maxey and McCain, they'll need to find one at the deadline. I do believe with that back court and one more reliable player, they can still be good.
November 25, 20241 yr On the other hand, I saw someone say this team already has a 4% chance of making playoffs. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Or what kind of tremendous run they'd need to go on in order to improve those odds.

Team right now has a 7.8% chance as of today to make the playoffs.

They're on pace for 15.4 wins Last year's 10 seed was 36-46. They would have to play .500 ball just to hit that number. In order to reach .500 on the season, they'd have to win 57.5% of their games., which is about their winning percentage from last season. (.573) Theres almost no chance of this team finishing with a winning record or avoiding the play-in and a slim chance that they even make the playoffs, at all. The absolute worst case scenario is that they go on a meaningless run at the end of the season that pushes them out of the bottom 6 and they lose their protected draft pick and miss the playoffs

I don't think you realize how bad the East is.

November 26, 20241 yr Embiid did not practice. George did. Both will still be out tomorrow. Martin is questionable. Missed practice today as well.
November 26, 20241 yr They really should Old Yeller this team and this thread should be closed up.....

November 28, 20241 yr No George, No Embiid, No Martin The young guns in the back court, along with Yabusele played well against a nice Houston team.
November 28, 20241 yr There is zero urgency to win from this management. They are prioritizing arbitrary rest over results. WGAF if Embiid lasts 10 more years if he only plays 20-30 games per season and they suck?

November 29, 20241 yr Not getting a real back up big behind Embiid was a lowkey mistake. Drummond is cooked, while the Magic re signed their 3rd string C Goga Bitadze to a 3/25. He is an actual competent backup.
