I woke up today even more convinced he will trade Maxey or McCain and #3 for Giannis or someone else. It's literally all he knows how to do. They could end up young with a bright future but he will piss it away and Harris will sit there watching.

The other news is, that means Giannis wont be on the radar.Im just about at the point where Id begin to consider trading Maxey for a truly elite player. It appears Maxey is going to end at a level where he is an all-star caliber player but not a guy who can carry a team by himself on a nightly basis. The trouble with trading him for Giannis right now is Giannis without Maxey, and without the top 3 pick would be stuck here alone while Embiid and PG watch from the sideline. So its not worth it. Theres not really a trade thatll look good until we are free of he Embiid and PG albatross contracts. Until then, we cant possibly build a team around a star.

No idea, but some of us have been saying to trade the big guy for a season or two. Howie is so good at his job because he is forward thinking. It feels like every other team in town waits until it's too late. If they get rid of Maxey and trade #3 they are going to be in a real hole for a long time and still not win anything.
May 13May 13 Author how the f did Rutgers go 15-17 with 2 players projected in the top 5 of the draft?

I'd do George and their 2nd rounder for Durant, but that probably isn't enough. I'd do this deal in a heartbeat if it was a 28 year old, or even 30 year old Durant, but he doesn't have enough time left in the league to justify the value associated with a number 3 overall pick. It feels weird calling someone 15 years younger than me "old", but I guess I just did.FanSidedHow much is a draft pick worth? With the NBA draft about to take place and trade season upon us, draft picks will be flowing from team to team, but how much exactly is a pick actually worth?

Then I’d think about dealing PG and that clippers pick. That’s reality doesn’t exist. Frankly that clippers pick is unprotected and at that point Kawhi and harden are done. But they are also gonna have a ton of cap space and i kind of think that pick won’t be as great. Like when everyone thought that unprotected Miami pick the sixers got and no one wanted to trade it. Everyone believed it was going to be gold and turned out to be a middle of the first round pick cause Miami wasn’t as bad as people thought by that time. That said PG is here for 2 years unless the Sixers attach a first with him like clippers pick or the 3. No one is taking on that contract for 3 more years unless get something valuable of it. So Sixers are stuck with him unless he has an all star year in 25-26 (unlikely) and with 2 years left maybe someone would. Really soonest he can be dealt is 2027 offseason when he’s an expiring contract.
May 13May 13 Nets Could Attempt To Trade Up I...Nets Could Attempt To Trade Up In DraftIs there a trade to be made with Brooklyn who own 4 first round picks in this draft?Tankathon has them taking Maluach at pick 8.If youre not confident in Ace, drafting Maluach or Queen, and picking up additional picks doesnt sound bad. The 3rd pick likely helps Brooklyn try for Giannis.

Queen needs to just be an absolute elite playmaker to draft him that high and he isn't. Wolf is a better playmaker and could be had around the middle of the draft.
May 14May 14 I don't think Maluach gets past the Wizards at 5. He and Sarr would be fun and work together

Ben Simmons also couldn't make the tournament. If Sixers draft Ace he could be a Porter Jr. type because that is his role with everyone else on the team. How much does that limit his upside and will he just be cast as that moving forward.
