October 23Oct 23 VJ’s shot looks really nice. He will only improve as he practices everyday. He took 13 three’s his first game and he isn’t even known as a three point shooter. Shows he is fearless.

October 23Oct 23 Here is a question for the brilliant posters of the 76ers thread- If a player goes down in a gambling sting do teams get a roster exemption?

Im just so pumped for these young guys. Can’t wait for McCain. I hope Barlow can be an energy future bench piece. Keep Joel off the floor. He is the flow disrupter.
October 23Oct 23 If Bona ever wants to be taken seriously, maybe he should try whatever the nba equivalent is to a jugs machine. His hands are made out of stone.

All game over and over. So frustrating. And a basketball is so easy to catch. Catching is a part of the game for everyone. It makes no sense.

October 23Oct 23 Victor Whoseyourmama had a crazy game last night. I wonder how long someone that tall can sustain that play for? I can't see him being dominant for more than 5-7 years. I bet his body breaks down and his prime of his career is shortened.

Might just be a bad game.Im a little frustrated theyre losing to a boston team with no Horford, and no Tatum. Freakin Sam Hauser and Payton Prichard starting. Josh Minott. Who??? Luka Garza...Have to remember we are missing McCain (and PG although he doesnt really count)He looked sloooooow. Maybe he's pacing himself so he can play more, but he was barely moving up n down court at times. The rest was encouraging. Love what I saw from Edgecombe.

Love what I saw from Edgecombe.Embiid is cooked. Everyone knows it but him. He will continue to play as if he was 3-4 years younger. Even in his top shape and before his body completely broke down, this pace is not for him. He doesn't process the game fast enough and he doesn't make quick decisions with the ball. Add the fumble dribbling and still not able to pass quickly out of double teams and this is what he is now. He can still shoot it I'm sure but he has no jump anymore. If you can convince him to be a corner 3 guy for 15-20 minutes a game, he might be able to contribute to this team but good luck convincing him of that.
October 23Oct 23 Saw a video of numerous plays where he didn't even attempt to jump for rebounds or blocks. Staying planted to the floor. I didn't notice how bad it was. I was riding high on his preseason performance and just figured he had a poor 1/9 shooting night.I still think he will give you solid Bobi type minutes.

October 23Oct 23 I wouldn’t be surprised if PG contributes more than Joel this year. I don’t expect much out of PG but even him 3 steps slower can move better than Joel.

He had one rebound attempt where he didn’t even get off the floor and the guy just went around him. Would just out his arms up and not jump on a couple of the Celtics drivesThere’s only a couple o explanations, I could come up with. One he doesn’t trust his knee. Even with the preseason games, he just is trying to not hurt it further. So he’s holding back trying not to mess it up. Second he’s just cooked and this is what he is now. He’s had a ton of injuries over the years and some to the knee. So he could be at this age just declining and rapidly. Third he’s pacing himself knowing it’s a long season. Feels like not as likely given who Embiid is. He probably would want to make a statement and throw it people’s faces that he’s still got it on opening night.
October 23Oct 23 This whole gambling scandal is wild, but not very surprising. It’ll keep happening with legalized gambling. And besides, rigging the outcome of NBA games is the officials job, not the players.
