Wednesday at 01:53 AM2 days Any other year, this team ends up losing this game by 15-20, especially on a back to back. This young team has energy and resilience. Gotta credit Nurse a bit.
Wednesday at 02:53 AM2 days Told you guys Bona is an interesting fit on a team full of shooters plus Embiid.

Joel, whatever. Bona for defense. Drummond for rebounding. And then Walker and Watford can play with any of them.

Wednesday at 07:26 AM2 days So let's assume that McCain and George come back and McCain picks up where he left off and George is about 80% of his prime.Who is the odd man out in the rotation? Oubre? Grimes? Edwards?I doubt you can find someone to take George, but it might be interesting if a major player like Giannis or LeBron gets traded at the deadline and teams need a max salary to complete the deal.

But hes not off my list yet.

Did he just start because Watford was injured? Or is he ahead of him in the pecking order?Id imagine George mainly takes Edwards minutes but they've already been pretty slight in the other 3 games. Im thinking we see a lot less Barlow moving forward in favor of George and Watford.

That’s the talent they have and they should lean into it and maximize it.That leaves Drummond as pretty good bench depth to keep Embiids’ minutes low and effective…and Oubre/Grimes as good bench depth behind their 3 guards. What they need to settle in on is a defensively outstanding 5th player in the lineup that allows them to roll with Maxey/Mccain/Edgecomb. And that’s why I like Bona.
Wednesday at 11:27 AM2 days Right now, McCain isn’t available. Embiid misses either entire games or large stretches of games due to load management. That leaves Maxey and Edgecomb as the only lineup fixtures that are scorers. That gives Oubre and Grimes space to shine (and we need them there). And it’s a potential opportunity for George and Watford to contribute more.Once McCain is back, IMO, the 76ers aren’t going to need any of that from them. They will need more length and more defense.
