Bryce Griggs is a shifty 6-foot-2 guard that plays with rhythm. He has an above-average handle and a quick first step. He mostly scores in the midrange area and around the rim, with a developed runner. Griggs is known for being a good on-ball defender that uses his hands and feet well. Overall, he has a well-rounded skillset which is reflected in his season averages: 16.4 points, 7.9 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game.

The main knock against Griggs is his outside shot, which is more of a work in progress. Griggs took a healthy sample size of threes, at nearly five per game, but only hit 24.9 percent of them. His free-throw percentage, which is typically a good indicator of where a player’s shot really is, was 64.2 percent.

Can't shoot like at all

Looks like Fred VanVleet and Dillion Brooks will sign with Houston.

I like the promise of all of their undrafted guys.

This guy only shot about 25% from 3, but shot nearly 50% everywhere else so that gives me some hope for development.

Its his inability to shoot FTs which is telling for him not becoming a shooter

Why i have some hope council can be a 36-37 % 3 pt shooter. He was 85 and 80% from the FT he last two years.

I know thats what they say, but if he can be that effective in the mid-range I dont see why he couldnt expand the range.

Hopefully Harden signs for a 2 year with 3rd year option.

I don’t see the sixers are paying embiid, Paul George (if he opts-in next year at 48.7 mil), Lavine and maxey on new rookie extension in 2024-25. They’d basically be close to $173 mil for 4 guys. Could be over $184 mil if tucker opts in and over the second apron on 5 guys.

Eventually you have to restart and let someone walk to clear cap.

But for a team trying to stay relevant every year of Embiid prime this is a great scenario for this year.

I'm just guessing but I'd think they'd want Maxey as part of the deal with maybe a 3rd team sending a bit else back to the Sixers. DM also has a man crush on JH so I don't see him trading him. Hope I'm wrong.

You would think that would be the case but, most of the guys that are great in the mid range don't shoot well and never really develop from 3, DeRozan being the most recent

For this year I think it would be fine. The problem in lies that if you don’t win the title this year with that team, you have basically next to  no way to successfully add to the roster besides veteran minimum contracts. Because the second apron basically was put in because the Warriors just kept adding and paying the luxury tax. So you basically would either have to figure a way to make trades out of those contracts for 2024 off-season or you’re just running it back with the same team that didn’t win a title.

Yeah... some teams are ok to run it back. That team might be ok. I really like the idea that with those perimeter players, Embiid would be able to just focus on D and rebounding and not have to carry the offense every game. Id love to see that.

Thats a fair trade for Tobi.

His contract is more money but expires. Powell has 3 years but only 19M per season. Helps both teams in terms of cap.

I would demand Mann

Would need other fillers. On July 1st it is only 110% you could take back in terms of the contract.

Fine with that.  Just saying that's fair.  Do what you have to to make it work.  Id be ok with it.

This is an old Tweet but if he expects close to that, I'm trading him this summer.

With this 2nd apron stuff you HAVE to be able to win a title with your two max guys. I don't see that ever being with Maxey or Embiid/Maxey.

Reminds me LaVine, where the Bulls are stuck with a really good player and his contract but never a title contender.

They have a full season the find out. This is also why I’m supportive of letting Harden walk.
