Question for those who follow and know more about basketball than I do....Wembanyama is clearly a special player. His skill level for his length is incredible and his all around stats, especially accounting for efficiency, are really good. His highlights where he casually disrupts shots with his length or scores over people are also incredible. All of that said, I'm not sure I understand the hype that he is the most unique and talented basketball player of all time. The availability issues with his frame have already started. He's a highly efficient scorer, but his ability to be a high volume scorer is a little questionable. He can't hold up in the paint like a Shaq, Giannis, or prime Embiid. And I don't even see him as a Durant level pull back jump shot threat if he wants to stay away from the physical abuse closer to the rim. I'm sure he'll be a top 3 player in the NBA, maybe top 1, for a little while....but I just don't know that he'll be the generational all time great that everyone seems to be anointing him already.

He wasn't supposed to be a good shooter coming in to the league. I think its been respectable. We will see how his jump shot progresses over the next few years. And if he stays healthy.

Either or for me. Both would be amazing but impossible. One at a time. Maybe the other one next year.

If Embiid wants to be a stretch 4 or stretch 5 it would be nice if he could shoot the 3 this year. Cant stand seeing him waste possessions bricking 3s.
