It's very 6ersy to have a player return from injury and not be the same for the rest of the year, or ever again.

Maxey returned early from a finger injury when Embiid and George returned so they could all try to build some chemistry before playoffs.

He plays ridiculously high minutes. His scoring average is way down since the first half of the year. Hes worn down, and injured.

The wonderful coach, GM, and medical staff have reduced his effectiveness for playoffs.

A couple games back, Maxey got hurt and he was wincing during the stoppage when the other guy was shooting free throws. I think he hit his finger pretty hard because he was shaking his hand. He is a pro's pro so he barely made a deal out of it. I bet he reaggravated that finger. Last night, he had open looks right at the 3 point line, not even 3-5 feet back, that he was passing up.

I can't stand Whoseyourmama. He is Minute Bol with a shot and dribble. He looks like gumby out there. At one point he ran into Joel who wasn't even moving and it looked like he hit a brick wall, he collapsed immediately. Then the two times he got injured, it seems like there was barely any contact. He is gumby. Guy won't make it for than 4-5 years. The main thing he has going for him is that he is super tall and long. His reach is his game changer, not his actual skills. If you took away his reach, he is average player at best. The NBA is doomed. It's either going to be Whoseyourmama or Master Foul Baiter as the face of this league.

I bet Maxey tore an extensor tendon. Those can be treated nonoperatively in a splint for a few months.

Pretty much the only finger injury that makes sense to have such a long recovery timeline without surgery.

If it comes out of the splint at all, you are back to day 0 and the timeline starts all over again.

A fracture would have been healed by the time he came back. He was supposed to be out longer but came back early.

I bet they rolled the dice and said F it, if it gets reinjured he can get surgery in the offseason. Now he will have a finger droop which will affect him the rest of the season.

Just a hunch knowing this dumb franchise is with player health.
