Haliburton... did not need,  Morey said.

I so wish we could go in the way back machine, hit Adam Silver with a car and see what would have happened if Hinkie would have been left in charge.  We went from promising with a ton of assets to nothing in a couple of years.

Embiid would have been traded, and we'd still be the worst team in the NBA "acquiring assets".

Lakers signed Jaxson Hayes now too. 2 years.  Not sure of money.

I believe the clippers and sixers believe they are involved but he really rather go to Miami. Nets in there likely cause they have assets from the suns trade and the pick they have left from the Simmons deal. however once they deal for lillard basically lose all that and it’s bridges and lillard as 1-2. That’s not winning you crap. It’s better than Portland but good enough to lose first or second round

Likely looks something like this (if I’m Portland I’m making Miami take that nurkic contract) unless a third team is involved. Only picks Miami can give up as they don’t have their 2025 first. So 2027 and 2029 along with Pick swaps

Nets dont have own picks so no real reason to tank

I'm moving Herro to a 3rd team or who wants Simons.

Lot of talk there Jamal Cain is the next Heat guy that went undrafted and will be a player so if they keep him will be a win.

Well, waited for Lillard and of course no one ever picks Philly.

Guess we pivot to Chicago.  Hope it happens soon so we can move on to using the MLE before all the talent is gone.

Does Miami have the assets?

They technically do have their own but they are not til 2027-2030 (rockets own a swap in 2027 so that’s less valuable pick  really yo trade their own 2028 and 2030)

so they essentially have

suns 2025, 2027, 2029 (swap in 2028),

sixers 2027/2028(protected in 2027 so might become 2028 and then become 2nd rounders)

mavs 2029 first

their own picks in 2027 (swap), 2028, 2029 and 2030.

im guessing if gobert got 4 1st then they likely want that and then some along with expiring contracts and team takes back nurkic contract

I’m assuming all those suns picks are gone in a deal along with those swaps, probably include sixers and mavs picks to get to 5 firsts. I’m guessing portland asks for swaps with 2028-2030 picks that are the nets.

So once they do that deal for lillard, I’m guessing they’re only gonna be left with 2 tradable first round picks, which would likely be the 2028 2030 1st round picks. Bridges and lillard are still gonna need help as they aren’t the best team in the east still. Not sure once you trade those expiring contracts this year that you have the assets and contracts to bring in more.

Miami makes more sense as they have butler and bam there. So they are immediate title contenders once they deplete their assets. That’s not true with nets.

Tbh would likely need a third team involved. Best package Miami could put together is this which includes taking on nurkic contract and and giving Portland Lowry’s expiring. Also add on pick swaps in 2028 and 2030

Nets actually have a better package. Problem is as soon as nets do the lillard trade they are depleted of assets they do have and yet still need more to be a legit title contender

Nope but Dame said he wants to go to Miami and Portland will do him the favor so Miami will underpay
