"That’s not a place that I had in mind, but business is business." Reed said he's preparing the upcoming season by diversifying his game. He said he's been taking "like 700" jumpers a day to add range to his shot. Reed is hopeful of being able to play at the 4 more often this season. "We did it last season against the Bucks. Very limited, but I feel like we didn’t look bad. We didn’t look bad," Reed said. "It was hard to score on us. We were getting a lot of rebounds. I think we can mess up a lot of teams with that combination." Mentioned this months ago and it kind of has to work if you trade Harris for a wing or guard.
July 16, 20232 yr Let's see if Sixers reach out to him. He can play and a full two years removed from an Achilles.

I wonder how he'll handle Bronny entering the 2024 draft. Will he go ahead and sign with whichever team drafts him, or will he influence the Lakers front office to do whatever it takes to acquire a 1st round draft pick? The Sixers finally have a first round pick again in 2024. You know how much Daryl Morey likes star chasing 👀

July 17, 20232 yr Well, shame his owner f ed him over by caving to the league and ending the process with an idiot father and son combo. Fire DM and knock it all down because he is not the right guy for a rebuild.

In the regular season he's averaged 33 pts, 30 pts, and 28pts over the last 3 seasons. He averages just 22 in elimination games. He's shot just around 50% or better from the filed in the regular season. You know what his field goal percentage is in elimination games? 38%. This year against Boston he shot 27% from the field. Last year it was 29%. Dude has been small in big games in the playoffs. Oh yeah and defensively he was -28 against Boston, -6 against Miami. So he's isn't getting back and playing defense because he's sucking wind most of the time.

Yeah, but at the same time the owner let the league step in and put an idiot in charge who blew assets trading up for the first pick and then blew it as well...along with a number of other errors that happened after that including letting Butler go to keep Ben and Harris. So yeah...Embiid has been small but teams were also able to focus on him because of a lot of ineptitude that sits at the feed of the owner.

I just wish Embiid would take some responsibility.
July 17, 20232 yr Management did a poor job trying to build a team around Embiid. And at the same time Embiid has proven himself not to be a centerpiece to build around. He is a great, great scorer. Many great scorers have proven to be not winning players. Carmello Anthony recently retired. He was one of those guys. James Harden is one of those guys. Theres a long list.
