Jrue is going to be dealt so whatever they get back for him, toumani is a second rounder for a reason. Basically got 1 pick and 2 potential swaps which might not be all that great. I’d have asked for more then 1 actual pick frankly the suns getting that depth for that roster and giving up what they did might be the biggest winner.

I mean no one came over the top and offered more than Heat package so not surprisingly no one wanted to pay 58 and 64 million to Dame at 36 and 37 Yeah Little and Grayson Allen can play. Heat have their eyes on Embiid or Mitchell at this point.
September 27, 20232 yr What if we were able to trade Tobi plus for Jrue? 1. Jrue 2. Maxey 3. Harden (catch and shoot 3 role) 4. Reed 5. Embiid That’s a decent defensive unit. And Harden can play back up point for the second unit when Jrue need rest. Flame away.

They badly needed depth and next year with ayton they were way over the second apron already. Now they aren’t and they got solid depth. Move makes sense for the bucks. Have to go for it now to keep Giannis happy
September 27, 20232 yr Rubin was a late addition to the group, he says, "placed" there by former NBA commissioner David Stern. The league was facing a long lockout, and Stern was still acting as the owner of the New Orleans franchise after George Shinn went bankrupt and was forced to sell it back to the league. Rubin was a guy the NBA had done business with since 1999. "David said, 'Michael, I thought about this. You need to go in and be a real partner,'" Rubin recalls. "I said, 'Why?' And he said, 'Because if anything goes wrong, you work for f---ing me and I can control you. And so you're f---ing doing this, because I need someone in this group that I control.'

Frankly i also don’t think he wanted to be there since last year and had become lazy due to not wanting to be there. I think their depth is much better now. Plus at the deadline can use some of them to potentially pull a better fit if they don’t work
September 28, 20232 yr I havent looked at salary matches, but Id be a big fan of Harden for Jrue swap. I know Jrue is expiring so thats ideal for next summer. For this year, it improves both sides of the ball. Defense goes without saying. Clear upgrade. On offense, hes never been the scorer Harden WAS, but it automatically improves the flow on offense and ball movement. And Jrue can score just as much as Harden can NOW. i think it upgrades both sides of the ball.

I’m not against the idea necessarily, but it is a bit of a risk for a 33 year old who could start to show signs of his age at any moment.

No thanks on a long term commitment.

Think it depends on how confident they are they Embiid will still be here next season. If they feel that he’s going to ask for a trade if they come up short again, then I may just shoot for Jrue and hope they can get it done this season. Because if Embiid requests a trade next summer, they might as well blow it up at that point anyway.

You either blow it up or add pieces around Embiid, they can't play this in between game which they are trying to do.

September 28, 20232 yr Author jrue would be a good fit. maybe morey pulls something off where tobi+ is moved for jrue....then trade harden to the f'n clippers already for whatever you can get.

Do you trust Reed to play 30 minutes and shoot a decent %, a big if. Heat can give up less assets for him as well. I would imagine every contender right now is calling about him.

I would have thought that you could create a 3 team deal where Harden goes to the Clippers, Jrue to Philly and the Blazers get assets from the Clippers with Philly maybe throwing in another player.

Somehow unload Tobi and/or Tucker in the deal for more assets
