October 5, 20232 yr The upgrade from Doc to Nurse is going to be significant. It will be interesting to see how the team looks in Jan because it will take some time to adjust and there is still the Harden question.
October 5, 20232 yr Steph, Booker, LeBron, KD, Embiid Bench should only be young guys. No one wants to see Dame Tatum, Hali, ANT, Fox or Ja, Bam, Bane, Paolo or Aaron Gordon or JJJ

October 5, 20232 yr Little old no D Lillard just got traded for a pretty solid haul. I wonder if that deal helped set the market to give LA something to base a deal on for Harden.

Frankly if I’m the clippers Mann is gonna be 27 and need a new contract after next year. He’s a nice player he’s not some i can’t trade this kid at all costs. I think the clippers are gonna have to include Mann to get it done. Don’t see them doing so at the moment.

At 27 he shouldn't be a make or break player for either side. I think what they're offering pick wise is the bigger issue

I think the clippers are willing to give up their 2029 first and a swap. The issue is they don’t have more picks they can give and they don’t want to include Mann from all reports. The picks the sixers want they’d have to include a 3rd team which i think is possible. The fact the clippers are unwilling to include Mann in a jrue or harden trade to begin with is ridiculous.
October 6, 20232 yr Its surprising that we want Mann included so badly, and that the Clippers refuse to do so. Both of these teams really seem to value him highly. At his age, Im not sure why. He seems like a great replacement for a Shake Milton, or maybe even Melton who expires after this year. Maybe they feel they can sign Mann for cheaper? I dont know. Thats a nice idea but still shouldnt be a dealbreaker. I wonder if its a PR thing for Morey like the time Colangelo tried selling us on a fake 1st thinking the fanbase was dumb enough to buy it. I wonder if they are going to try to tout Mann as a young prospect which is reportedly how LA has been viewing him in their refusal to deal him. The deal seems better if Mann is some young up and comer rather than leaving him out of it and getting nothing but old guys with expiring deals.

Clippers or sixers. That said to get more picks involved just get the Knicks involved who have a ton that are likely not to convey and if they do they are middle to late round firsts. clippers take on Fournier and the Knicks would include the pick to get off his contract as he and the Knicks are really having issues.

And I'm pretty sure this is the sticking point. They don't have picks due to the George deal for an eternity. 7 minutes ago, HazletonEagle said: Its surprising that we want Mann included so badly, and that the Clippers refuse to do so. Agreed, he should be in his prime at 27 and you're getting a guy that hasn't averaged over 10 points on a season and his best year shooting the 3 was 39%
October 6, 20232 yr I am really getting excited to see Embiid in Nurse's system. The stuff he practiced with Hanlen, and now this....

Knicks and/or some other teams have a ton of picks and contracts they like dump off giving up picks that have protections that make them less likely to convert or not high end firsts. Can always add teams to get it done. I think this is about clippers don’t want to give up mann (who they clearly overvalue and like) and then have to also take on other contracts to get the picks necessary to make it work
