July 10, 20204 yr I will be attending, hell, ill sign a waiver stating nobody but myself is at fault.. Fly Eagles Fly.
July 10, 20204 yr What a joke. I called the ticket office today and they didn't even have anyone on hand to answer the phones. Just "we're working remotely. Email us." What a way to be helpful to the thousands of fans who might actually want to speak to a representative of their organization.

Have they even allowed that before? Seems silly to me because they would be fielding thousands of calls. The email link is how it should be done.

You mean calling them on the phone and talking to employees in the ticket office? I've done it dozens of times over the years. Maybe close to a hundred times. Yes, I'm sure they're fielding thousands of calls. I've also emailed them and have gotten no reply yet.

They announced last week that season ticket holders have until this Wednesday (July 15th) to make the decision whether to use their tickets this year. If not, they can simply apply the balance they've already paid to next year. According to the representative I spoke to, it's an all-or-nothing choice regarding the number of tickets on your account. You can't use some and decline the others. Furthermore, she told me that if you do opt out, you would still be eligible for the lottery for Super Bowl tickets. I'm not sure I believed her 100% but that's what she said.
July 13, 20204 yr email today said the last payment (if you opted for the installment plan) will not be pulled on july and that they will get back to us with any new developments.

Never received a email today? Maybe cause I paid in full already. I don't think any of my tailgate guys even had to pay their first payment.

I think you're right if you paid in full, because they did highlight the 4-installment plan. FWIW here's the body of the email. Quote We hope that you and your family are safe and healthy. While we continue to plan for Eagles games at Lincoln Financial Field this season, we are continuously evaluating all scenarios to ensure the health and safety of our players, employees, and fans. Previously, you had enrolled in the 4-installment payment plan with the final installment to be charged on July 16th. We will not process this final payment as scheduled and will continue to communicate additional information as the season approaches and our plans take shape. As a reminder, we have also offered the option to opt-out of your 2020 season tickets. If you choose this option, we will pause your account for 2020 and resume in 2021 with the same seat locations you would have had in 2020. If applicable, your SBL and any other ticket or club seat license agreement will remain in effect and you will resume season ticket purchases in 2021. If you are interested in opting out of the 2020 season, please click here log into your Eagles Account Manager and complete the Opt-out form.
July 13, 20204 yr Eagles coaches and other football staff should be back in the facility by now. "Camp” starts in two weeks. So what do ya think? Will there be a season?
July 13, 20204 yr Neither outcome would truly surprise me. But if I had to guess right now I would say it happens, with either severely reduced number or no fans, with several large issues that pop up throughout the season (star players testing positive, facility outbreaks etc).
July 14, 20204 yr Yes. There is too much money involved with the NFL, and they have proven they couldn't care less about the health or well-being of players. I'm not gonna complain about it. I don't know what I'd do without football.
July 14, 20204 yr 42 minutes ago, What The F said: No. Because states like Florida, California and Texas will ruin it for everyone. Right? And forget about college. Imagine if the Gators or Longhorns tried to field a practice team in the next few weeks.
July 14, 20204 yr I think they want to give it a go, and will try their best to get it done, but my gut says they get the season started, but another wave hits, and shuts things down again.
July 14, 20204 yr All they have to do is sequester in Florida. All the country has to do is push through and not buy the end is near media hype.
July 14, 20204 yr Varying degrees of shelter in place could be happening for the next year as additional spikes/waves are experienced. I'm thinking no go.
July 14, 20204 yr Of all the things that have happened this year this one is going to be really hard to handle. With how much money is involved I'm shocked they are going to just to play without quarantines. There is no way. Either they need to relocate all the teams to one location or quarantine the players in hotels in the cities where they live. It's delusional to think they can play it any other way at this point.
July 14, 20204 yr I posted this in another thread yesterday: Here's how this thing looks to me: American football is a true FULL CONTACT sport. By the very definition of the play-by-play you have huge men breathing heavily, COUGHING, SNEEZING, SLOBBERING, burping & farting all over themselves in close contact. That environment is the PERFECT place for transmission of the coronavirus. Any comparison to the various other pro sports is specious & irrelevant b/c they are LIMITED contact sports. Unless some sort of preventative apparatus or medical intervention comes to the fore very quickly I don't see how they can proceed with any sort of season safely. The NFLPA is still arguing with the NFL on safety issues and it appears there'll be no easy solution: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/07/13/nfl-nflpa-talks-proceed-as-expected-with-not-much-progress/ Many baseball players are opting not to play this year and you have to figure many upper tier NFL players will do the same which further dilutes the 'product' on the field. Someone, anyone, feel free to say why you think any of that is wrong and convince me otherwise. Football is the last pro sport I really care about . . . but it ain't looking good from where I sit.
July 14, 20204 yr The owners and league will be desperate to ensure there is a season. The players may feel differently and the virus will ultimately have the final say. I think the desire to make sure there is some kind of season will ultimately mean there is a season. But I don't think they should be. Cases in the US are out of control in some big states. This virus isn't going away anytime soon and a vaccine isn't likely until late this year at the very earliest.

They better follow the NHL and pick one or two locations and quarantine them then. Why they aren't doing this is baffling. Yes, a doctor for the NFL said it wasn't medically feasible, but obviously other doctors don't share that opinion if the NBA and NHL are doing it.
July 14, 20204 yr Disney is open, and there’s a push to reopen schools. If the other sports play then I don’t see how the NFL can close it’s doors. Now if there’s a rash of outbreaks to players they may not have a choice but to shutdown. Overall our rush to normalcy as a country could be our demise.
