I still think Allen is, or can be elite, but I've seen numerous people point out that he only has Diggs.  I don't watch much Bills football, so I can't speak to how accurate that assessment is. My boss is a huge fan though, and he mostly points to injuries and poor play from Allen, plus the lack of weapons.

Dak gets no credit because he consistently fails in big moments. Being dominant against a division rival is one thing, but he's also been awful against SF for how many games in a row now?

We can say that Dak fails in big moments, but so has Allen. What SB has Allen taken the Bills to? Also other than Lamb who does Dak have? It just feels like some guys get excuses when they don’t play well while others get blamed. Dak is a funny situation though. He’s playing for the Cowboys. He’s always going to be a target. Allen is in Buffallo. I wonder how he would handle a situation like Dallas. My guess is he’d still get the excuses.

I wouldn't put the failure of the Bills not beating the Chiefs in the AFCCG on Allen. I mean, they had 13 seconds left with a lead, so should Allen have been out there on special teams and defense to make sure the Bills didn't choke? If we point to the recent loss vs Denver, Allen had his turnovers, but he also helped lead them downfield and scored the late go ahead TD.  Was it him that choked when the defense gave up a game winning FG drive? I don't remember it being Allen's fault for the DPI that put Denver in FG position, nor was he to blame for the 12 men on the field penalty either.

I'm not saying Allen hasn't played poorly this season, but I won't say he's choked in every single loss.

Anyway, Dak has Lamb and Pollard now, plus Turpin is also a pretty good playmaker. But let's not forget that he's also had Zeke in his prime, and Amari Cooper. Honestly, I can cut Dak some slack for last season, because Pollard got hurt in the playoffs, but that doesn't excuse getting blown out by the 49ers this season.

Can’t say Dak choked in every loss either though. I don’t remember all of the Bills playoff situations, but he hasn’t led that team to the promised land either. He might not have been on the field when they last, but was there a key third down he didn’t get that could have extended a drive? Also the Bills have had a mostly solid defense while Allen has been there and for him to only have Diggs he sure does put up a lot numbers and it’s not like Diggs is at the top of the league on all stats. I kind of feel like this idea that Buffalo has no talent is a bit of a stretch.

Yeah, the bills apparently have a ton of injuries on defense this year (from what my boss has told me). Again, I'm just going by what I've seen claimed, which also doesn't excuse Allen's turnovers.

Dak has always had better weapons around him than have been in Buffalo, it's not even close.

Who does Dak have this year other than Lamb. Please don’t say Cook. 😂

Yeah and a. Lot of teams are dealing with injuries. You should show your boss the list of injuries the Packers had to deal with when Aaron Rodgers won the Super Bowl or the list the Eagles had when they won the Super Bowl to include their MVP level quarterback. The Allen excuse machine is high. It’s next to the Burrow excuse machine or the (and my personal favorite) the Herbert excuse machine.

This is hella nitpicky, but why are the rush TD numbers half cut off? I know you can sorta see it's a 7 for Hurts but still lol

Which explains a lot about the Eagles' defensive philosophy. It is frustrating to watch, but the league has almost forced this on teams.  The Eagles might take it to an extreme a little bit... but even the best pass defenses of today can't hold a candle to what defenses of previous generations were because of how the game is legislated/officiated.

All true. Many here would regard a 10-7 defensive battle as the way football ought to be. The league doesn't agree and neither do most casual fans. And there are a LOT more casual fans.

Sport is product. Since the minute the money went crazy, it's always been product, probably since the merger would be my guess. Three yards and a cloud of dust doesn't sell either itself or its sponsors' goods or services.

Now with Dallas and KC comebacks

Good point, but how many of those guys were thrown in as starters day one in their rookie year? I don´t have data for this, but it feels like QBs are getting far less time these days to make the transition. Last one I can think of who had proper time to learn his trade behind a good starter was Rodgers.

Jordan Love in Green Bay has had 3 years.

That is what you call clutch AF. Remember when you guys wanted that guy that never made the field and was cut last year? Oh wait, that might have been me and I can't even remember the kids name.

Glad no one listens to me. Thanking my stars Hurts turned himself into such a star and proved me wrong.

Bottom line is the doubt for this team is directly related to the doubt people have for this quarterback.

No he isn’t. The Defense and the DC are overrated.

I don’t think anyone overrated the defense or the DC.  That’s been known all year.  One of the worst passing defenses in the league.  But Hurts is overrated.  No question about that.
