January 27Jan 27 As far as the potential opponents that the Eagles could draw out of tonight's game, on paper the Chiefs are the weaker of the two, the problem is that the refs give them a huge handicap every single game. So if you add in the ref factor both the Chiefs and Bills are probably equal.
January 27Jan 27 Excellent game by Hurts in the NFCCG and an overall good game by Kellen Moore. Washington doesn’t have elite ends nor secondary, so the decision to get Barkley to the edge and then attack the corners in 1 on 1’s was text book. Yes, the blitz was disruptive at times, but Hurts and Moore adjusted well. Hurts has also made the defenses pay by leaning on the TE’s. In two weeks, Hurts will be facing a far better defense AND the referees. I hope he can win a Super Bowl against these odds, and based on how he has been playing, I have some confidence that he may be able to pull it off. Go Birds! 🦅

Since there was the idea before that the "haters" never acknowledge his good play. There are like a couple people like that but most just want our players to play well! On to the Super Bowl! I do think that this team knows what they're in for. Having been to the SB already and against the Chiefs, they know they're up against the refs, the league wanting a 3peat champion, the Mahomes worship is crazy. The Eagles this time have the top defense and Barkley. They need to mentally focus to not get the penalties, no mistakes, don't give the refs room to do anything. Get a comfortable lead in the 4th quarter and keep feeding the RBs and eat clock. Keep the ball away from them. If it's a close game the refs will have extra flags in their pocket!

January 27Jan 27 Was pretty solid. A TushPush, a TD run, a TD pass, looked more mobile than I expected, got some better play calling in the second half, no turnovers, a few bad decisions, threw the ball away a few times, some quicker hitting plays which made it easier for him, etc. KC is certainly going to make him beat them rather than #26 so needs to be ready for the max blitz and zone coverage.

Make a read, get rid of the ball, live to make another play. Most importantly no turnovers. Defensively the Chiefs are the best defense the Eagles have faced since the Packers or Ravens... They could very well be better than both of them. It will be interesting to see what Spags game plans against the Eagles: sell out to stuff the run, or keep pressuring?

Neither looked healthy after the game. The Eagles are in trouble if neither can play. Hopefully the extra week off can heal their wounds. I think the Eagles running game can really counteract the Chiefs pressure if that's how they decide to play D. But the Eagles need the big guns available to open lanes up for Barkley. That will take a lot of pressure off of Hurts. On the flipside, the Eagles defense against Mahomes and the Chiefs offense is going to be a lot of fun to watch. Both teams are stacked. The coaches are top notch. The Eagles are getting it done by forcing turnovers but the Chiefs don't make many mistakes.
