"Passing" is an element of a football offense. You keep confusing "passing" with "passing yards." We are actually very efficient with our passing in a majority of passing stats. Hurts still has the 7th best passer rating in the league. Nobody cares about 400 yard passing games that include 5 INTs.

I don’t think both outcomes are mutually exclusive.  I think he wants the ball because he knows how dynamic a player he is.  And he also knows that giving him or Barkley the ball gives the team the best chance at winning on the offensive side of the ball.  Moore is a former QB himself and I think he understands the limited processing speed of Hurts and is trying to give him a game to manage.  Problem is against Carolina, he regressed.  And that game is on tape at a very late part of the season.  For some reason, hurts just couldn’t process the defense fast enough.  
His time to throw is 3.12 seconds this season which is next to last of all QB’s with enough qualified attempts.  Only Lamar has more at 3.16 seconds.

yup and look at mahomes, he had his struggles this year and they are still winning games and they are not calling for him to be benched because he's making good decisions like you dont want to keep turning the ball over, i dont care what team you are playing, you just dont throw the ball 50 times and expect 500 yards a game, it's unrealistic, players on bad teams arent going to quit, that's just the game of football.

no one got open in this game and hurts wasnt going to turn the ball over, right thing to do, what's frustrating is that they refuse to ball at the beginning of the game and at that last drive like what the heck was those playcalls? like why werent they running the clock down? we were lucky to win that game but if they ran the clock down and kicked the fg, game would have been over.

The team has reverted to being RB centric and using Jalen like a mobile qb backup who just got here this year and doesn't know the playbook all that well.  Howie keeps raising the basement to this team with the talent level but with this qb, the ceiling won't go any higher. <insert SB 2022, outplayed mahomes, blah blah blah> qbs get hot sometimes. Foles got us our ring that way, but he wasn't a franchise qb.  Jalen will be here for awhile and will win a crap ton of games, but the experiment of making him a passer i think is over. He can be A guy in the offense, but can't be THE guy. For most people that's fine....for me it sucks seeing such a killer roster getting held back from potentially being a legendary offense

So efficient the team can barely put up points or move the chains in the fist half of games.

Just stop. No one is saying he needs  to put up 400 yards( thought with this offense it should be no problem) But no its not "efficient". There's nothing efficient about constantly making bad decisions that stall out drives or taking a sack. Every game he has open WR's that he doesn't pull the trigger on. That's not efficient. Your idea of efficient is only throwing the ball to someone that's comfortably wide open for him to want to make the throw. Good Lord Imagine if Hurts had  played with Pinkston and Thrash. He would have washed out as a QB in the first 6 weeks.

Barkley was injury prone in NY and now hes made of granite while carrying the offense.

Hurts certainly isn't playing like a top tier qb.

Yes, some of this is by design.  We have our identity, and it’s not Jalen Hurts team anymore.  Now, he is going to have pick up his game if we have any shot in the playoffs because there is going to be a good defense that will sellout on defense to stop the run and dare Hurts to beat them with his arm.

And this is what we’ve been saying for weeks and yes it is probably true. Mind you at this point I’m not sure what defense is going to stop Saquon and this OL.

He doesn't "constantly make bad decisions." He makes a lot of very good decisions in every game and those are plays where you won't give him credit. Sure, like every single starting QB to ever play in the NFL, he also makes bad decisions or misses an opportunity. After the first 4 games, all the critics said he needed to do a better job protecting the ball. You said it too, right? So he sat down with Nick and they worked out a plan to protect the ball and not take so many chances and the results are 9 straight wins. Now, ironically, the same critics are wishing he would take more chances. The wins just aren't statistically pretty enough to please some people it appears. 

Honestly, I'm all for him taking those chances, but I know that doing so will also likely increase the turnovers. I'm okay with that. Right now, he is playing "safe." My preference is to play aggressive, but I can't really argue with the results of this team's current formula. 

Also, in other replies I've made to you I posted stats showing that Hurts targets guys with less separation (24th) than most QBs and is still, even while playing safe, in the upper half of tight window throw percentage (14th) and average air yards per target (15th). Those three stats debunk claims that he only throws to wide open targets. 

BTW, in Hurts' first 5 (beginning with the Wentz benching) games, he had Reagor, Ward, Hightower, Quez, Fulgham and a washed Jeffery. He survived to start the next season 

If we were to list the best QB's in the league, the consensus top 4 right now would be Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow and Allen. Jackson and Allen are pretty damn close for who gets the MVP award this year. All of those guys have had really bad games this year. 

Burrow started the year with 164 yards, 0 TD's, 0 INT's, 3 sacks and lost to the freaking Patriots 16-10. Against Philly he had 234 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and they lost 37 to 17. Hurts in that game had 236 yards passing and 4 total TD's 

Josh Allen had a game where he went 9-30 completing a whopping 30% of his passes for 1 TD and losing the game 23-20. The game before that he completed 55.2% of his passes for 0 TD's, 0 INT's and had a fumble losing to the Ravens 35 to 10. 

Jackson completed 48.5% of his passes (33 attempts) against the Steelers to have 207 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and lose that game 18 to 16. He didn't have a great day against the Eagles but his stats look a lot better after that last drive when the D had put the cue in the rack.

Mahomes went 16 of 27 against the 49ers to complete 59.3% of his passes for 154 yards, 0 TD's, 2 INT's and 1 rushing TD to somehow beat the 49ers 28 to 18. He also threw 46 times against the Raiders completing 56.5% of his passes for 306 yards and 1 TD against one of the worst teams in the league. They barely won that game 19-17 but he threw for 300 yards....

I'd like to see him complete more passes too. More completed passes could've won us the SB but it's wild that he even got us there last time. He could be a better version of himself at times for sure.
