Seems like they'll promote Patullo. At this point, Hurts will be entering his 6th season in the NFL. And with the same head coach and returning roster. The new OC will need to continue to keep their identity with running and "game manager" approach at QB with his running ability. I don't think Siri will let 2023 happen again.

If Siri puts his hand in the cookie jar and starts calling plays again you will get exactly what we saw in 2023.

What makes you think that? The guy has been a head coach for years now with 2 bowls under his belt.

Is this the guy that was suppose to be Done?  Just asking, lol.

Good head coach doesn't mean good play caller. Evidence says he's a bad play caller. The 2 Super bowl appearances came when he didn't have play calling responsibilities and he could just manage his people and situational in game decisions. Why fix what's not broken? He knows his limitations which is why he asked Moore to 'run it back'. Bring in good OCs that are empowered.

Just had a very long conversation with OG Wade (for those who listen to WIP and know who he is). What an experience!

He’s saying run it back to everyone right now. What’s any guarantee the next person in will be good at calling plays? I believe he gave up play calling, because he’s flexible and willing to do what it takes to win. That doesn’t mean he should never do the job again. Year after year we run into the same problems. OC gets a HV job or fired and we need to once again get Jalen comfortable with the next guy. Tired of the same circus.

That's just how it has to go down when the HC isn't a good play caller. He had his opportunities and failed at it.

Hurts was Nick Foles... twice

Here are Hurts' SB numbers extrapolated to 17 games (16-ish played) * he did not run or pass after 9:42 of the 4th yesterday

374 of 510 73.3% 4463 passing 8.75 per pass 26 TDs 9 Picks 109.4 rating  1207 rushing with 34 TDs 8 fumbles lost

5670 total yards 60 total TDs 17 turnovers

Here are the 2024 MVP numbers of the great Josh Allen

307 483 63.6% 3731 passing 7.72 per pass 28 TDs 6 picks 531 rushing 12 TDs 2 fumbles lost and 1 pretty snow dive reception pitch TD

4262 total yards 41 total TDs 10 turnovers

You know Andy Reid in his career has had moments when he gave up play calling. He was a rookie head coach out of his league at that particular time. He called plays for like half of a season. Not nearly enough data to call him a failure.

It's never too early to begin doubting the next season's team members or lamenting the outcome of things that haven't happened yet but surely will go wrong if they do ...

Not a matter of doubt... facts. There's a reason he was stripped of his play calling duties and it resulted in TREMENDOUS success.

Who stripped him of those duties? You mean he delegated that responsibility to others so he could be a better HC. He'll likely continue to do what he has been doing and the new OC will still handle the majority of the play-calling. If you're going to cite "facts," site facts, not conjecture.

The people that hired Moore. Don't be dense.

I’m still in jaw drop mode right now thinking about what the Eagles have done in these last 2 games, especially on offense. Their defense has been lights out since the bye, but for them to just flip a switch, score 95 total points to end the season and humiliate 2 very good teams was one of the most exciting experiences we will ever have as fans. Hats off to Hurts. The dude balled out and played like a top QB with his decision making.

"Hurts never smiles, he's so stoic. What will it take to make him smile?"

The media has been so nasty to Hurts from getting benched in college through the draft process to all the insults aimed at him and Howie for the Eagles drafting him. (talk about ignorant morons) That useless D-Gunn was insulting him like 15 days ago. Seth Joyner had to verbally beat the crap out of D-Gunn over his foolishness and hatred.

He is always going to rely on quotes and platitudes because he knows many of them are snakes just trying to score points on him.

Snake Eskin even now is rolling out garbage like Hurts is good now but only because he is doing what I wanted. (moron)

First thing I thought people would say. Ironically Jalen was basically the same last night as he’s always been. He threw the ball 22 times. The Eagles ran the ball 45 times. I knew that there would be those clowns acting suddenly Jalen’s doing something different. No he’s winning the way his team needs him to win period.

Marcus Hayes is such a tool, he was just saying Hurts is maybe top 10 QB, how does this guy still have a job? I mean I know it is for a newspaper that probably nobody reads but he should be unemployed
