December 30, 2025Dec 30 The 2nd half offense to maintain a lead by running on 1st and 2nd down and gaining no yards or losing yards and then asking Hurts to consistently convert a 3rd and long is ridiculous. There was one drive in the 1st half then ended up stalling into a FG, but they still converted I want to say three 3rd and longs on that drive. That can't be the norm. The offense is just way too conservative at times. Even their first 15 plays aren't great and are often too conservative.

It’s the hardest job in sports.Giovanni Carmazzi was a natural passer.McKee would have been slaughtered or forced turnovers. To think he is ready for that kind of game with Patullo and that O-line is just astounding ignorance. He is going to kill DC because DC is garbage.Interesting take: no such thing as a natural passer. Coach Sarkisian would differ with you as recently as this month: https://www.si.com/college/texas/football/what-steve-sarkisian-said-about-dia-bell-on-texas-longhorns-early-signing-dayAs for predicting Tanner McKee’s performance against the Bills, you don’t know what that outcome would have been. It’s a hot, emotional take in response to any criticism of Jalen Hurts.

Based off what?

Based off what? That’s a fair question and it’s equally unsafe to assume he would have been mince meat against the Bills. Wasn’t Tom Brady a backup late round pick? Now, I am not suggesting Tanner McKee is the next Tom Brady nor should he replace Hurts if we are going to stick to the offense that brought us a SB, but the premise that McKee can’t succeed because he was a late round pick is unfounded. All McKee has done in limited opportunities has gone 33 of 48 for 356 with 4 TD’s and no picks and likely increased his trade value. The overarching question I’ve had all season is what is the desired identity of the QB role and passing game in this offense? Whether by organizational design or by Hurts own decision, there is little threat of QB runs. This has been the most significant change from last season and it’s had the biggest impact on the identity of the offense. The 11 v 11 offense stresses the defense and plays to Hurts strengths. If the desire is to get the ball out fast and make quick reads in the passing game, then the offense isn’t going to play to Hurts strengths, but more to his weaknesses. In previous posts I’ve stated that Hurts is the best QB in the league for the offense that we’ve been running for the past few seasons. If the Eagles want a WCO, do you think Hurts is the right fit?

If they were still under that umbrella then wouldn’t have drafted Hurts to begin with. Getting back to McKee though I don’t think the Eagles are thinking McKee is their guy of the now or the future. He was drafted to groom and possibly flip for a higher pick. To invoke Brady thoughts over 1 start against a really bad football team is a reach for sure though. Reminds me of the silly MinshewMania over that guy beating the Jets. It os far more probable Tanner McKee becomes like most mid to late round QB draft picks especially after teams build take on him than he becomes the next Brady or Purdy.
January 2Jan 2 Uncle Rico is a natural passer. That nobody who 85% will never do anything in the NFL may very well be a natural passer. If there was a hit the target robots league then he should go #1 after his sophomore year. There is no such thing as an NFL Natural passer.Rodgers was only considered seriously by 2 teams for round 1. Its partly because his throwing motion was crap. The Packers rebuilt him.A clown would assume because the end result looks good that Rodgers was good to go from day 1.He was 6-10 playing for the first time in year 4. He sucked when he did play in the first 3 years.Josh Allen was a horrendous NFL passer for several years. That guy was built through the fire of NFL experience. He had all the tools, maybe FREAKBEAST QB1 of all-time.He was still clueless as a passer on day 1.You are going to have a hard time coming up with better poster boys than Allen and Rodgers for passing.Lets add in Elway who was never a great NFL passer. He had 120 TDs to 114 picks with a 54.2 % completions through 1989.He ran around like Tarkenton and made plays like Hurts or Allen or Tarkenton.Elway is 86th all time in low int % . The only year without double digit picks was never. This includes under Shanahan with a demigod at RB1.He had the same physical arm tools as Rodgers and Allen.Like I said somewhere else, Gio Carmazzi of the Brady 6 had better natural tools than Brady. If one of them was a natural passer then it was Gio.

You may be the biggest numbskull on the boards.
Sunday at 07:11 PM4 days If Jalen doesn't play this week, he goes into the playoffs cold, coming off that awful 2nd half versus the Bills.Man, he stunk it up in the 2nd half.
Monday at 12:52 AM4 days oops. Correction. We can't win without Jalen Hurts.Especially if Siri and Howie quit on the team already.
