So trash that they moved the Lions to an entirely different conference, not that they had any credibility to begin with, but they apparently think the Lions are in the AFC according to that graphic.

Yeah and I’m sure we will hear all day today about how the Chiefs lost this game too.

I missed the carnage on here last night. How many players got cut? Any coaches fired before halftime?

Since 1991 Jalen Hurts has the most comeback wins when down by 10 or more points. 7 Comeback wins for Hurts under those circumstances; the next best QB since 1991 has 4. That's pretty wild.

Not sure who you are referring to here but I have not suggested such a thing.

Rather I suggested after the Dallas game that Moral Victories require you to at least win the game.

In this case I said that The Eagles beating the Chiefs would be a moral victory.

We beat the Chiefs.

Eagles are 9 and 1 and Dallas still sucks.

You know the Cowboys, Lions, and 49ers all watched this game, but if I’m the Cowboys I’d really start to fell less great about that moral victory they were boasting about, because this loss to the Chiefs was very similar to the loss they took from the Eagles as well and this one happened in one of the hardest places to play in football. Then again these guy just got finished pounding on another cupcake team so they probably won’t understand what is happening. My guess is Dip Bayless will go on television today and tell us how "my cowboys” would have beaten the Chiefs too. 😂

Na. That’s just how dominant the lions are.

Absolute facts.

Solid win on a bad night to play offense. Observations

1. The Chiefs O Line get away with more holds than any other O Line in the league, Mailata got called for what the Chiefs were doing all game.

2. The Chiefs also get a lot of ticky tack calls when they're in a tough spot, every time I've seen them this season they've been given a really soft automatic first down foul on a third and long, it stinks.

3. Desai is as good as any DC we've had at making adjustments at the half, I was really worried when they kept tossing it over Reddicks head in the flat, and gashing us with the run around the edge early game but the way he tightened it all up second half was great.

4. For Christ's sweet sake, the play calling in the 4th quarter, if I can tell sat at home that we're calling a screen, it's not fooling Steve Spagnuolo, then to try the same thing again the very next play, mind blowing, then to call a screen and QB run on 2nd and 3rd and 22, are you f'ing kidding me? It's like they were trying to lose.

But all said and done, we're 9-1 after playing the Chiefs on the road, the team is getting healthy again, if you'd been offered this position pre season you'd have taken it 100 times out of 100 without a second thought.

The sign of a good football team is finding a way to win even when it's not quite clicking, we're a very good football team.

Couldn’t say it any better myself.

I’d add Brian Johnson is as awful at recognizing what’s going on and adjusting. Getting killed by the blitz and not leave any extra blockers but still have routes run right into coverage. 3rd and 1 and we aren’t brotherly shoving is a joke.

Man, Covey is really turning it on lately.  At the beginning of the season I was always praying he wouldn't drop it and would hope he'd just fair catch it and now he's an actual threat.  3 punt returns last night averaging 18 yards.  I like it!

100% also Mann had a couple of really good punts which considering how we have punted the last couple of seasons was a pleasant surprise. 🙂

I didn't make any roster or coaching changes.... I just told the truth. The truth is this: They sucked the 1st half and were great in the second half. I never count them out of any game, because somehow, they are ALWAYS in it.

We need to address backup TE

Interesting state on KC - they have not scored a 2nd half point on 16 straight possessions.

Averaging 5.2 points 2nd half points over the season

Another week, another stressful game.  The Eagles "just win", which is obviously great, but man...every week I still can't help but think when the wheels are gonna come off.

There's been an incredible amount of good and bad in every game...every friggin game!  They are so consistently up/down, it's unbelievable.

As almost every week, the defense benefitted from multiple drops by receivers...none bigger than MVS'-shoulda-been-a-TD and then the 4th and 25 that went through the receiver's hands.  Then they also make a timely sack or as was the case last night, both a sack (intentional grounding) and 2 big RZ takeaways.

Back to the 4th and 25...how bad is it that I honestly didn't feel comfortable about stopping them from getting a first down?  Just like the Dallas game when they got the ball back with 52 seconds or whatever it was and had to drive 85 yards for the TD...I wasn't comfortable then either.  This defense is maddening.

The offense last night was utterly brutal in the first half and, while better in the 2nd half, they still had some seriously head-scratching, cuss-inducing, play calling.

I don't know what's happening with our vaunted OL, but they're certainly not as good this year.  Same for the DL.  Eagles were getting wrecked at the LOS most of the night.

And I know Julio isn't what he once was, but there HAS to be a way to get him more involved...especially without Goedert.  The offense last night was Smith, Swift and Hurts.  Would be nice to see more creativity and involving other players.

I am not a fan of Brian Johnson, however, as much as we all questioned/hated those WR screens ... it spread the field/defenders and stopped the sack fest that we saw in the first half. It also ultimately led to the big play of D Smith as it caught KC off guard.

Yup.  I'll take the wins, ugly, pretty, whatever, but this team does not inspire confidence.  So far, the Miami game is the only one I came out of feeling like they played a good game and it turns out Miami might be total frauds.  Like I said, I'll take the wins, but I feel like this poor playing is going to catch up to them very soon.

One could argue this has happened in the Minny, Dallas, Miami, and Chiefs games just off the top of my head. Also the Eagles made a lot of mistakes themselves in those games. If you’re counting points off mistakes the Eagles opponents made then perhaps you should start counting the Eagles mistake points as well. Guess what? It still ends up being 9-1 or perhaps 10-0.

I'm only concerned with the Eagles and their issues. The Eagles shut out the Chiefs in the 2nd half, but drops by wide open receivers helped. That's my point. There are shut outs and then there are shutouts with an assist from the opponent. Last night was the latter. I simply want the Eagles to keep improving so that by playoff time they are much more consistent and efficient than they are now. I believe they can get there. I hope they do. We'll see.

Ugly, but this team finds a way to win. That's all that matters.:Eagle_smiley:

Now, let's here it for butter fingers. :D

Both Brian Johnson and Sean Desai were close to getting run out of town by half time.

Desai made a few decent adjustments and shut out the Chiefs in the Second half. Seems like he saved his job. The jury is still out on Brian Johnson. I think he sort of sucks to be honest. I don't like the way he calls games at all.

Also getting pretty sick of the designed QB draw even though it worked once last night. But overall it has not been a high percentage play for us this season.

Ok so did the Eagles finally find their screen game?  If they don’t feed swift the screens at least 3-4 times a game going forward then they’re stupid!

That’s about the only thing it did.  It was def a sacrifice for later plays.  Hard to watch though for those two consecutive drives where they were setting that stuff up.

You’re right. It was a punch out. Credit to Roby!

What inspires confidence is the grit and the mindset this team has, beginning with Jalen Hurts. They don’t panic. They just keep grinding and last night it put them in a position to win the game. I’m convinced- and my future posts will reflect this - that despite the "needs” this team has, they’re never out of it until 0:00 in the 4th quarter. They have a tough mental game and they are relentless. While the wins might not all be pretty or dominant, they are winning and that’s not easy in the NFL. Say what you will, but this team doesn’t quit and they are always in it until the end. That’s something special.
