"The scientists just make things up!" is what stupid people tell themselves to feel better about being so stupid. God gave you a brain because he expected you to use it.

The "made up explanation" you're referring to has the exact same probability of being correct as any theory that scienctists have "made up."   You're not really any less fearful than someone with faith, probably more fearful of death

Nope. One was theory made through observation and measurements. The other came from a book about magic.

Notice I asked "what was before the Big Bang?"

That was directed at Procus’ ridiculous claim.

There are plenty of theories but we don’t know what came before the Big Bang.

Hey @Mike31mt, how old does the Bible say the Earth is?

Then use your brain and explain how the entire universe was made from nothing.

Big Bang Theory

Science literally cannot explain anything about what happened before this event.

I bet your parents would be so proud of how hateful you've become of Christianity. So smart and wise!

Wrong, the book isn't about magic and there are currently no observations that can explain the universe being created from nothing.  That would truly be magic.

We can measure how stars move (speed and direction relative to other known points), how old they are, and what they are made of.

So how old does the Bible say the Earth is? Approximate if needed.

No one is making the claim that the universe literal came from nothing. There was obviously something, we just don’t know what it was.

He keeps repeating "created from nothing" like its a big "gotcha" lmao.

Ok, and what has that yielded?  Was the universe created from nothing?

And have you read the Old Testament at all?  It's full of metaphors and not intended as historical fact. If you knew your arse from a hole in the ground, you'd realize that was pretty much the entire point of Jesus' life.

Oh ok. What was before the something then. When did it start?  It literally makes no sense for matter to come from nothing.  Poof, stuff exists!  Sounds like magic to me.

My parents raised me to use my brain and to place a high value on my education. But I suppose that's because I wasn't born and raised in the dumbest state in the country.

Metaphors. Hundreds of them.

So, approximately how old does the Bible suggest the Earth is?

Yes I'm sure theyre proud of that GED. What have you proven here today with that sparkling brain of yours?  Nothing, as usual.

Go ask someone who takes the Old Testament literally, or read it yourself.

Your all your thoughts on the creation of the planet and/or universe are dependant on the interpretation of metaphors?

Oh, and how old do you think the Earth, after all those years of interpreting metaphors?

For the millionth time, we don’t know what the something was.

The Big Bang happened approximately 13 billion years ago.

How old do you think the universe is and how did this all start?

Metaphorically speaking?

Hey remember that time I had to spoon feed you 5th grade math because you were too stupid to understand it the first time back when you were in elementary school? Pepperidge farm does.

How old is planet Earth, Mike?

Can you ask a native English speaker to translate this for you?

Lol yeah congrats on winning a semantical argument because I didn't think Biden could be a "millionaire" from his senator salary, but you showed me he could accumulate like $3 million in lifetime savings or whatever.

Hilarious how you cling to something from like 3 years ago because you routinely get your arse whipped every day in here due to your TDS COVID-induced libertarianism

I don't know but I believe everything was created by God. You can call it magic if it makes you less afraid.

Semantical? You literally couldn't work out the math on your own.

No I consider millionaire someone who makes close to or over a million per year and thus has millions in savings.  Not someone who eeks out a lifetime savings of over $1M which almost everyone does anymore.

But congrats on your big moment 3 years ago.  I bet that thread is printed out and framed on your wall next to the GED
