Don't lash out because your total lack of understanding was exposed.

You thought you were making some clever point about Jesus and Jewish law and forgot that the Jews literally put him do death for flouting Jewish laws.

I’m the one lashing out? It’s a fact that the verse that was referenced in toaster’s meme is in the same chapter of the OT as the Ten Commandments. How you want to "understand” the cherry picking of what to follow and what not to, is up to you. It is odd that you always get upset when anyone mentions Jesus’ message of love and forgiveness.

Do you think Jesus advocated for putting people to death?   "Eye for an eye"....does that sound like Jesus, or did he say the exact opposite?

You're the one cherry picking and it's based on a total lack of understanding of the Bible and Jesus.  I can cite very specific examples of Jesus teaching against Jewish law of the time, and again they put him to death for it.  So please continue your asinine argument about how Christians should still follow ancient Jewish law.  It's going well for you.

You don't know the story real well, do you? The Jews were unable to punish him for his views, which many of them considered blasphemous, which was NOT a crime  under Roman law.

Those who turned him in, did so having to make up lies that he said he would destroy a temple. That is supposedly why the Romans arrested him, tried him, and executed them.

Thus endeth the lesson.

I'm sure Mr. Scholar has some more Christly words of wisdom for us all.

You're missing the main point and countering your own argument, as usual because you're exceedingly uneducated about this.

Why were the Jews so adamant about putting Jesus to death if he was simply reinforcing Jewish law?

You're literally making my own argument for me

Yes, I do understand it. People pick and choose what they want to follow and believe in regards to the "Bible.” It’s why there are tens of thousands of different denominations of Christianity around the world, at least 200 in the US alone. But go ahead and keep thinking that your version is the correct one.

No, I notice every time I use the bible to refute your own words, you start tap dancing.

What denomination are you?

You try to use the Bible, but have no idea what you're reading and thus your points are completely wrong.

Again, why didn't Jesus simply convert Gentiles to Judaism if he was only reinforcing the Old Testament?

Why did the Jewish leaders want to put him to death if he was simply teaching their laws??

You can't answer these questions because your point was completely wrong.

And I'm Catholic, as I've stated numerous times in here.

If you aren't going to pay attention to what is said, you will keep asking questions already answered. Had I said he was reinforcing the old testament, I could defend that, but I did not. Your first question is again making up a point to argue against. A point that requires knowing a fairy tale's motivations from a book written long after he died.

You're second question was quite clearly answered already. If you don't like my answer, it is easy to look inside and find your own opinion on the this part of the fairy tale.

You don't even know what your point was, old man, because it was so immediately refuted.

You have no idea what you're talking about, spare me the word salad.
