Not quite. We won the division last year. So we faced the top seeds from every division in the NFC (Bucs and Vikings). The entire division faces the NFC West and AFC East this season, so that is equal. And the Eagles faced KC, which none of the other NFC East teams had to face (17th game non-conference).

I would argue that Run 2 is not part of the playbook.  But the other 3 look about right...for the entire playbook.  😉

Staley also has history with Desai for 2 years in Chicago when both were assistant coaches. If we're going the consultant route probably better to go for more of a veteran presence like when Vic Fangio helped Jonathan Gannon last postseason.

Frank Reich makes sense since he's had success as an OC if not at the HC level and is respected by Sirianni, so hard to believe he would have a negative impact as an offensive consultant.

Reich also makes sense as an in-house replacement for Brian Johnson if he is let go or fools another team to make him their HC 🤣 (Jonathan Gannon 2.0?)

Division winners and teams that go deeper in the playoffs always have a tougher schedule the following year.  Teams in the same division do not play the exact same schedule.  They play the same AFC division but then there are additional games.  The NFCE has the top 8 of toughest schedules but because of the additional games it's never equal.  The Eagles had the toughest schedule this year.

Lies... Run 1 is really a RPO pass in disguise and Run 2 is the QB power thingy that they run. Stop the cap.

The Eagles hit a rough patch that basically every team that is fighting for the playoffs this year have gone through. Last I checked this wasn’t a 4-11 football team despite what some people think. Also the Eagles have been basically playing these close and crappy games all year. They went through a three game skid after going through their toughest stretch of games while dealing with multiple injuries and were forced to play multiple teams coming off at least ten days rest consecutively. They haven’t been blowing teams out all season. The Giants game was very much on par for what they have been doing to get to their eleven wins. It’s not fun to see, and it stresses us out, but it’s very much on brand for the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles.

Meh. The media thought Sirianni was cooked after the whole flower talk too.

Hurts and Smitty both said communication are issues, Smitty also said the small details in preparation.  Mailata said the whole team is feeling that they should be playing better.  Smitty was upset after the win, saying the offense has not played the way it's supposed to and he's not satisfied.  AJ Brown declined to talk to the media saying he has nothing nice to say (after a win).

These are coaching issues.  Yes, players all have to take accountability as well.  But the defense lost confidence in Desai and he was replaced.  Coaching issues on both sides of the ball.

Welp, that would be a terrible idea then… 😂

Well he did watch a team score 63 points on him in his last game, so there is that.

I don't know the details of this. What communication issue? Seems like they are communicating too much for the media out in public. Perhaps the eagles show the sausage being made a bit too much than other teams on the sideline. When you are family, it doesn't mean you don't have arguments. But at the end of the day you work towards how to get better. I'm not exactly sure what the issue is yet and where there is a breakdown.

They scored 33 points.

The coaches didnt make Goedert fall down or Scott fumble or Mailata false start. So im not sure where the frustration at Siriani is coming from. At some point the players need to start looking at themselves.

Remember how last year after the wins Jalen wasn’t happy in most of them. It seems like the entire team has embraced that Jalen Hurts style of thinking, but now everyone just keeps coming out and playing too tight. This team needs a calming voice or a silly side. Someone to break up the Jalen stoicism. They don’t look like they’re having fun.

Completely different from last year....even Jalen looked like he was having fun winning games and enjoying himself along with the rest of the players.....that energy is just not there this season and me personally think its the coaching.....we can't all be wrong saying these things.....

For sure. And that's been the narrative for most of the season. They have been called the most miserable 10-1, 11-4, football team ever seen.

My only guess is that because they had such high expectations for this season, with a lot of pressure on them, and they are winning ugly, it's gotten to them. They know they are a better team than how they have played. It's gotta be frustrating for them.

I mean, it's week 15, and they are still committing the same mistakes, every game. It's NOT getting fixed, whether it's on the Coaches, Players, or both. I feel like they are ALL frustrated with each other.

Penalties and turnovers as a whole is mostly on coaching and in particular the head coach.

The play calling on offense is lousy.....and it's been lousy all year.  Scoring 33 points on a terrible giants defense is not an indication that the offense is better.

The players know that the offensive scheme and the playcalling is bad......it's not a big secret when your opponents are publicly saying that the eagles offense is predictable.

The eagles do very little to confuse a defense, create mismatches or use all the talent on the offense......

These issues have been going on all year.  Players will make mistakes when they try to do too much when they're frustrated.......not to excuse that, but the fact is that they are frustrated and Sirianni better listen to these guys.

Johnson is in way over his head.......and the eagles have too much talent on offense to be predictable or boring......

Bringing in some vet coaches to help steady the ship makes sense.  OC is an obvious one, judging with all the players' reaction.  DC less so, partly the performance is limited because of injuries and depth.  Playing many young DBs is trying to hurry up the development and find out whom can be trusted.  This team still has the talents to be a factor in the playoff.  The team coherence and trust need to be addressed fast, or an early exit is invertible.

Just thinking about this and those of you who say the team isn't having fun may have a point. If they somehow manage to get the bye - still quite possible - they use that week off to just go and have some fun somewhere. Go somewhere warm, get on the beach, lounge by the pool, whatever. Loosen up a little. The issues are mostly mental, so get that side of things back on track.

I think the issue is bigger than just going away to have some fun. There’s some really intense characters in that locker room led by their QB. The team kind of takes on the personality of the QB and that’s very much the case with this team.

The 11-4 with the hardest schedule fire everyone vibe is truly hilarious.

This seems a little exaggerated to me.

AJ Brown was not biting his lip.  He was looking at Sirianni because Nick was saying something.

As far as Reddick and Devonta chewing out Nick that didn't look anything crazy to me.

Go see when Bill O' Brian and Brady used to yell at each other.  That was chewing each other out.
