What can they do to fix this 3rd down defense? Because that’s the kind of crap that’s going to see them one and done in the play off. If you can’t get off the field on 3rd and long then I mean you just have no chance.

Better philosophy 

Would be nice to get the ball back before the half. A turnover would be great, but I still dream.

But it must be more that that? I mean this is now the second defensive play caller and the same issues. I’m just not sure how they fix it but at this point it almost seems to be psychological.

They disappear for big stretches in the game.  Couple that with DBs playing off coverage and it's a shooting gallery.

It's Howie's fault, teams just continue to exploit the middle of the field because we don't value the LB position 

Letting Edwards walk was a colossal mistake and signing hired guns during the middle of the season isn't a scalable solution
