January 8, 20242 yr No effort. Just lazy POS football. They got exposed. Started in week 1 when Mac Jones threw for 350 yards.

January 8, 20242 yr I honestly believe Howie and Lurie will bring Sirriani into their office after the season is over and tell him that they’re firing all the defensive coaches and all the offensive coaches except Stoutland. They’re gonna tell Sirriani to change his offensive and defensive philosophies. if Sirriani resists those changes, he’ll be given his pink slip. If Sirriani acquiesces, he’ll keep his job for the start of next year.

January 8, 20242 yr we need jim harbaugh to fix Hurts. this is team is on fire!! literally smoking...red lined, finished.
January 8, 20242 yr I´ve been that glass half full kind of fan all year. That first half, last night, was embarrassing. It was the worst half of football I have ever seen from an Eagles team. That being said, Siri will be here next year. The narrative is already written: The Super Bowl hangover is a real thing We lost our OC and DC and replaced them with inexperienced coaches. That backfired. Consistently banged up back seven on the defensive side Absolutely brutal schedule For the Tampa game, the excuses are already in place. We will not have: Our 1k yard rusher Our 1k yard receiver Our *other* 1k yard receiver Possibly QB1 Our best corner Possibly more absentees, too. To be fair, I want them to clear house. Get rid of everyone except Professor Stoutland and Sirianni. I really don´t think you can fire a coach who has made the playoffs each year he´s had the job. Who are you going to get? If you get a reputation for being that ruthless with your head coach that in a parity driven league, that´s not seen as an acceptable job, nobody of any class or quality would come here. Doesn´t mean I would be happy about it, but he has to be on the shortest of leashes for next season. Give him *experienced* coordinators who can install their own schemes and call their own plays. Let him focus on the big picture. None of this is to let him off the hook for last night though. That was an abomination.

The who are they going to get thing is a really good question and a hard one to answer. Guys who seem to be a logical option in the past haven’t worked out for other teams whilst going for the unknown guy has worked for us. I just think they need to change though. I know Sirianni has gotten this team to the play offs 3 years in a row. I know he’s taken this team so close to the SB and his overall record has been really good. But this has gone off the rails so badly I just don’t see a way back.

This has been Carson Dense 2.0. Hurts had 2 major flags coming out of college…couldn’t read a defense, and was not the best teammate when the cameras weren’t rolling. So, we’ve seen with our own eyes that he looks like Stevie Wonder in the pocket, so that issue isn’t corrected. And then something is wrong in the locker room as this team has just quit. No team has EVER started 10-1 and not won at least 12 games. The team quit this past month. Did they quit on Siri or did they quit on their QB?
January 8, 20242 yr I have come around to seeing that Siri is a problem, but I don't really know what Lurie will do. It might depend on this playoff game, if they are really embarrassed and lose badly like they have been, and the players are done with him and complain he could pull the trigger like he did with Chip. But despite what fans might want, I don't know if Lurie fires a coach after an 11 win season (2nd best record in the NFC) a year after making the Super Bowl and 3 years in a row making the playoffs. This is definitely a situation where the stats do not tell the story. If all you knew about the team were that they lost the SB and had THE hardest schedule in the league and still won 11 games and are in the playoffs then it looks better than what we actually saw happen. Lurie is going to know everything going on inside the building behind closed doors. He should be listening to key players and all the coaches and evaluating what's going on. It's clear to many of us that Siri hasn't done anything to fix the team. But I could see Lurie giving him one more year to get it right, and demand major change to the coordinators and position coaches. He should also pay attention to the defensive roster and pressure Howie as well. As a businessman, his investment went into the QB (like every team), the O line and D line and those 3 areas did not dominate like they were supposed to. Then you have garbage at LB, the lack of another starting DE and problems in the secondary. They are getting roasted and destroyed by national and local media for how bad the defense has been. Lurie can simply see for himself during the games how opposing offenses can march down the field and complete plays and score points at will against this weak defense. That's not the defense he thought they were investing in by paying 2 veteran corners, trading up draft capital 2 years in a row for stud DTs and paying Cox again. Meanwhile he has to notice TJ Edwards, Hargrave and others leaving Philly and performing elsewhere. It's amazing that most of the season majority of fans were on board with firing Brian Johnson but not many were thinking Siri, surely he's a good HC if they've had this much success? Now ever since the collapse over weeks that view has changed very rapidly. Will be interesting to see what happens! At minimum IMO, they must fire both coordinators. Get an experienced DC who brings in his entire staff and hopefully a new scheme. Get an experienced OC to install actual NFL level plays and maximize the talent because the window will close.
January 8, 20242 yr I have a friend who is a Falcons fan. He thinks that despite our troubles, we should beat up on Tampa this week. I found this interesting, we follow each other´s teams a little because of our shared interest in the game. I´m not going to use that old cliche that we see so often on this board, but there is a LOT riding on this for Sirianni. Whatever we all think and say, the last few weeks have to be in the rear view mirror. Losing a close one to Seattle doesn´t mean anything now. Taking a beating from the Niners means nothing now. While we might think a win against Tampa either unlikely, or a smokescreen, this is postseason football. A win here and it is inconceivable he is fired in my view. And as much as our struggles have been apparent, we also know from experience what can happen when leaders like Kelce, Johnson and BG can be like when they get that fire going inside them...

I get that theory and yes it is the play offs, seedings are done so everyone is now 0-0. But this team has needed to get things right for weeks and it hasn't. This team has needed to show some fight and spirit and it hasn't. There is no reason to think this team can now turn it around because they haven't for weeks now. I agree the beatings that San Fran and Dallas gave us mean nothing. I agree the choke job against Seattle means nothing now. And you can make the argument that the back to back losses to Arizona and New York mean nothing... But we can not unsee what happened. We can't forget that this team just lost in embarrassing fashion to 2 bad teams. We should beat Tampa, we could say the same if we were playing Atlanta or New Orleans but right now I don't think we should be confident of beating anyone.

Tampa has really god WRs. Mike Evans is going to have a field day against Bradberry.

Pats and the Giants had a very good chance to win at the end of the game. Got very lucky with Buffalo and Chiefs. If Ron had gone for 2 after a td that should have been a loss as well. Same with the first dallas game. This is a basically a 4 to 5 win team who got some breaks and then got badly exposed.
January 8, 20242 yr he is either going to get fired this offseason or during the season next season. better to do it now and not ruin 2024-2025 season.
January 8, 20242 yr IF the organization thinks Siri isn't getting it done it makes more sense to fire him now and get new staff to take the roster and fix it. Use the window of the offensive roster, address some issues on the roster on defense rather than waste the talent. But I still think Lurie will start with new coordinators and give Nick another shot to make it work.

No way they fire Siri before end of the season but had they started the first 5 games of the season like the last 5 an in-season firing would probably be on the table. When both the offense and defense is playing like crap and getting worse by the week that rolls up the the HC. They already swapped out defensive coordinators and somehow managed to get even worse, may as well dump Patricia and have Swoop give it a try at this point. They are regressing every week. Sad to say even bad teams look competent against the eagles.
