So much of D philosophy coaching and execution from decades ago just can’t be applied equally to today. Kickers have been really just routinely launching successful 50 plus yard field goals for years now. Huge effect on a DC philosophy and approach.

But setting aside the preparation for that play, and concentrating on the actual play call itself, tell me what you believe was the sequence of events that happened from the 2:47 timeout called by the officials up to the snap of the ball to Hurts.

There was some a slow news period where Hurts brought up how he preps for each opponent and provides our coaches with his plays he believes in both our own execution and opponent susceptibility. Hurts provided O coaches with The Dagger for that game.

Then very clearly Siri barks at Moore to call The Dagger. Easily could even deduct Moore resisted with a differing idea….by the way Siri barks at him to just call it….order!

We are a win now team…so I get developmental baggage not ready to contribute is tough to carry this season. But he is practically the definition of a prospect with high ceiling potential. Obviously I’ve been high on him all along as my sleeper.

I agree with his call 100 percent. Something I like about Siri. It’s all about confidence in your players. At some point it comes down to can you beat the other guy and get that one yard. Niners are real tough in this area.

Kind of what I was trying to point out. Through all these years Vic already faced a huge change with the K game stepping up so much with routine 50 yard field goals. Now add in this huge boost and that scoring range is half the dang field now. No longer the 30.
