Slay was our Secondary leader. You missed that whole part. Rodgers was never given any chance to compete to do what you suggest. We had several young Secondary players that really looked up to Slay.

I respectfully disagree. No one is handed the starting job prior to Training Camp. They have to get it the old fashioned way ... they earn it.

Anyone see Trevor Lawrence's game winning TD run? His RG stepped on his foot, he falls down, gets up and scores. Time of play is 1:02.

It was incredibly impressive. Kudos to Lawrence ... for that play and the whole drive.

Yeah I was thinking that's possibly game and what a way to lose. I didn't think he was going to get up. And then like Lazarus he arose and made it to the promised land LOL. If I were his team mate that would be Trevor's nickname this week lol

Give me this one, it's been a rough 3 days here with the home town teams!

He was fighting with a 69 year old man. Just despicable in my view…over a bloody parking spot!

We could call it the "Toe Hurts"

Lawrence's toe got stepped on by a 300+ lb OL. Gotta hurt!

Like Tanner earned the second string QB job? Oh no wait that was never an option. But you think we had our Secondary leader as an option to bench?

Apparently Hurts,SJ and Bark and a nice metting today

Once again, tell me who the players are. I'm still waiting. Clay needs to teach our D line players how to rush the kicker? (lmao) really???? It's my own OPINION so it's VERY accurate. IDC what your opinion is. BTW who is the returner on opponents FG attempts?. I enjoy you trying to tell me what my opinion is LOL

I guess in your head…this some how makes any sense

But Tanner did earn the backup QB role he is our backup QB…. If you’re talking last year he never did anything to beat out Pickett. I know as shocking as it is to fans the coaches look at more than just the preseason games and Pickett did nothing to lose the job. But the team also felt confident enough in McKee to more Pickett this offseason

BG was our D-Line leader from the bench.

He was always clearly better. Huge amount of us Eagles fans were all on Tanner’s side. It was never a possibility. Rosie traded for Pickett guaranteeing him the backup QB job. No competition.

Tanner wasn’t handed the QB2 job. He simply outplayed the competition at every step.

Slay played well last season…and was the Secondary leader for our young DBs.

As naive an opinion as it gets

I wish it were true

BG played well last season … and was the Front Four leader of our young D-Linemen.

The difference between Slay and BG is that none of the young DBs beat Slay out, while the young D-Linemen did beat BG out.

Key also being to clearly have to beat out our Secondary leader. Slay had a resurrection season last year…. really tough to clearly beat out.

Then add in Isaiah Rodgers was suspended for being such a moron. Let’s see…that guy? Or the Secondary leader? Not a difficult choice.

But I guess your point is Ringo and Adorre have been so fantastic this season for us …

Rodgers contract would have cost much much more if he had forced Fangio to bench Slay the Secondary leader last season. Then it wouldn’t have really been an option for us to even keep him.
