Joe, MJK, GBNC, BG93, Cunningham, and others here….. what do you really think about the Barkley addition? I’m ok with it. I don’t love it or hate it. Paid a premium for a 3 down back. His pass blocking is good, not great, but IF, and it is a big IF, he can stay healthy, I believe he is an upgrade.

I actually like the extension to Dickerson more. I want the best O Line first and foremost!

I hope they can find some diamonds on defense for the right price as the D needs a complete rebuild. Rumor has it that Reddickdoes want a trade? Hope not. He is the best player on the defense by far. LB and CB and S are all a mess, so the pass rush and DTs better be SUPERIOR!

Anxious to hear each of your opinions on these.

Thank you.

And.. for me personally.... I like the RBs that play the entire game.   Some people like Barry Sanders,  Derrick Henry, Adrian Pederson, Eric Dickerson...etc.

I like the Barkley, CMC types.   Payton, Faulk, Marcus Allen, Roger Craig, Ricky Watters... Westbrook.

Guys that don't need to carry the ball to impact the play.  I personally believe that's what wins.

I don't believe many RBs of today are big game changers.... CMC and Barkley would be my top two guys to make a case for in that regard.

I’d toss Aaron Jones in this group he just can’t ever stay healthy it seems but dude would kill it when he was healthy and used running or catching the ball

I like it because it takes away the excuse for Hurts stans like Ham.

I see a dude who can run, but doesn't see the entire field, maybe due to lack of height or the fact he grew up being able to out run everyone.   A guy with a below average NFL arm.

It’s clearly because we don’t have a WR 3 can’t be successful QB when you don’t have a 5th option to throw to…. Doesn’t matter if you have AJ/Smith/Geodart now Barkley…. no WR 3 is the real issue

Now we don't even have 5 pro bowl OL anymore either. Doomed.

But also... when they send 6 rushers....who makes the OL call to where the 5 of them can block the 6?

I mean...some fans were dumb enough to blame the OC or Kelce.   The QB needs to make that audible for the extra blocker...not the OC or center.

Play adult football.

Wonder if the Eagles would draft a QB high this year (rounds 2 or 3).

Supposedly a good QB class, we like to draft QB keep that QB factory going, cheap backup QB, and Hurts tends to get banged up could miss time

As far as Saquon you're asking a PSU alum! I can unbiasly say I was a little let down when we couldn't draft him, but understood it. Then we got his understudy who I thought would be better. Always said teams need 2 squiggly and 2 bruiser backs - all need to be able to receive. That and I don't like teams who rely too much on any 1 back or receiver. How great it would have been to have Swift AND Saquon! His deal has a maximum average-per-year salary of $15.8 million, which would be the most ever for a running back.

According to Over the Cap, the Eagles entered free agency with $42.9 million in cap space. Haven't seen Huffs' breakdown yet. Both are great signings, secondary still needs serious help.

Falcons’ Hennessy Signs with Eagles; Kelce Replacement?

I’d image he competes for RG with Steen thinking Cam goes to C

Also see it as competition at C, it's easier to find a G than a C. Know Kelce picked Cam, should be a competition at every position.

I see it as depth

Well...we couldn't draft Barkley because we won the Superbowl.   So whoever next year's Penn State guy is..I hope we can't draft him either because we draft 32nd.

Idk about having all these RBs you mentioned... it's not really what's been winning lately.   How much are you looking to pay to have 2 bruiser and two squiggly RBs?

Can we even find 10 " bruiser " RBs in the entire league now?

Man, Derrick Henry to Balt, 20 m/2yrs

9m guaranteed all in 1st yr

At least he didn't go to dullass, who are still wierdly quiet

Have to face Ertz 2x next yr vs wuss - 1yr, 5 mill - should we have?

Why is it weird that Dallas is quiet?   They haven't been able to make free agent moves for years.   They don't manage their cap correctly.... to be able to make free agency moves.

They have to resign their own overpaid guys first.   Never leaves them with much to do anything in FA.

Should we have what?   Signed Ertz???   Why?

I also believe he’s one of the best blocking RBs in the league? So our every down back can now stay in on pass plays because he can block and catch the ball out of the back field. He can even line up out wide or in the slot if they wanted to get creative with him.

But we also have Gains,so he can maybe rest a bit more now than he did in NY.That will keep him fresh in the 4th quarter

Oh yeah, begging for  top slot in the draft. Washington is my fav,but Anias Smith is the top SLOT in this draft. But Washington can get his feet wet there and if/when we part ways with AJ he can slide right out with NP. Smith is a SLOT only but a good one

This will fall apart again if Hurts hogs the ball and denies bark his stats. I agree there have been no excuses for Hurts the last 2-3 years. Time to go back to progressing instead of last years regression. When you're scared you always fall back to what you know, but now Hurts needs to move forward and get these players their stats. We have alot of mouths to feed now so Hurts can't be a ball hog

I really like McKee. What little I saw showed me he was a pocket passer. What this offense actually needs. I wold have NP with him stepping in as the #2,so may guess is they take a late project on the PS and find a vet BU for McKee to compete with
