Bummer to lose Brian Johnson as QB coach. You know he’s a guy Hurts trusts. Became a problem having him as OC in such a stale O. Really put Hurts in a bind. Hard to trash your family friend you’ve known all your life.

Thing is we need to get talent in here. NO DC will succeed with the constant Howie patch jobs. He got lucky the year we had CJG because we finally had the talent in the secondary. Now bradberry is old and slow and Slay has lost a step and we have nobody in the wings to take over

We have some young guys that played alright Brown is the first that comes to mind and obviously Blankenship though one was always getting hurt and the other tore his ACL late in the year which sucks.

We also have Ringo and don’t we have some other young CB that was suspended all year from like the Colts who highly regarded.

Or stayed the same....just that expectations increased.... perhaps the 50-50 balls that he threw up weren't there this year...the opponents were better etc.  

I guess my point...what was it about 2022 specifically in his play...just his play...that you think was so much better than 2023?   Other than say turnovers and he ran better?   Did he seem to read defenses or make better throws in 2022?   I didn't see it.   I'm not talking team results or stats...I'm talking about the actual play. Other than running better and not turning it over...I didn't see anything better from Hurts in 2022 than 2023.

Ringo is ready to take over. Ricks can also be a piece. Blankenship obviously a building block. We still could take three straight DBs to start the draft and it not be a bad idea.

Don't know most haven't played yet. Blankenship was a nice surprise.the others need to prove it

IMO last year he was starting to make more than 1 read. This year I saw him regress back to that. last year when he ran it was a determined run,this year he falls down after getting the big money

Agree ... for me doesn't really matter to the degree things go bad.   I'm interested to see if we can win if I feel the roster is good enough and we have the health.   

I'm more focused on why we would win...not which coach can do the least worst with a bad or mediocre roster.

Last year I saw the first read open...or he would throw a jump ball that was caught.  I didn't see much of a strategist.  But when he would run ... he ran hard. And no dumb turnovers...except for Superbowl.

I think the Lions have a real shot to take out the Niners. Especially if Deebo can’t suit up.
